Royal Jordanian Airlines expands routes to Manchester and London Stansted Airport in March 2024

Royal Jordanian Airlines has announced the launch of new routes to Manchester and London Stansted Airport, enhancing its network and connectivity options.

Building on the successes of 2023, which saw the introduction of five new routes across Europe, including Brussels, Stockholm, Milan, Dusseldorf, and Lyon, Royal Jordanian Airlines will now extend its reach to include Manchester and London Stansted as the 6th and 7th destinations in its European network.

Starting March 3, 2024, passengers can avail direct flights from London Stansted to Amman, the capital of Jordan, with four weekly flights.

Additionally, starting March 6, 2024, Manchester Airport will offer a direct route to Amman, with three flights per week. The flight duration for both routes is approximately five hours.

Royal Jordanian’s Chief Commercial Officer, Karim Makhlouf, said: ‘Our new route to London Stansted will make it easier than ever for tourists from the UK to discover Jordan’s incredible wonders. The new routes are yet another step in line with Royal Jordanian’s ambitious five-year growth plan of increasing our current fleet of 24 aircraft to more than 40 aircraft in the coming three to five years.’

Ciaran Brannigan, London Stansted’s Commercial Director, said: ‘Amman is a city full of history, unique architecture, art galleries, and museums, with many excellent restaurants and ‘boozing’ nightlife. The route will facilitate the travellers’ visits to the Golden Triangle, the Wadi Rum desert, Petra, one of the world’s seven wonders, and Aqaba, a popular diving location on the Red Sea. These are some of the incredible places to visit.’

Manchester airport managing director Chris Woodroofe, added, ‘International travel is about opening up the world. Traveling to Jordan from Manchester in just a few hours extends the possibility of exploring ancient history in Petra, eating tasty food in Amman, and enjoying stunning beaches in Aqaba.’

‘Our growing destinations directly connect the people of the region with some of the most exciting and interesting places around the globe, which are Jordan, thanks to Royal Jordanian Airlines.’
