Brittany Ferries announces sail-and-stay holidays for 2016

Cruise-ferry operator, Brittany Ferries, has announced its portfolio of sail-and-stay holidays in 2016, offering savings on early bookings.

Holidays booked by way of a GBP44 per person deposit by December 15, 2015, will receive discounts of 25 percent, saving hundreds of pounds, with the balance payable six weeks before departure.

‘The widest choice of accommodation, ferry sailings and cabins are three good reasons to book early,’ said Christiane Barker, Brittany Ferries general manager, Holidays. ‘But perhaps the best reason is the huge saving on your 2016 holiday. We are proud to be one of the few operators that take a modest deposit on your booking now, which could mean hundreds of pounds off a family summer holiday.’

The sail-and-stay portfolio includes a varied selection of holidays taking in cottages and villas, hotels, camping, apartments and golf breaks, including those in western France and northern Spain. Holidaymakers may book early and save:

GBP116 on a family getaway to Brittany’s pirate city of St Malo – departing during the Easter holidays on March 27 (with an en suite cabin on the overnight sailing) and returning on March 31. The 3-night B&B stay at the Hotel Escale Oceania for two adults and two children sharing a family room, plus return foot-passenger sailings will cost GBP457.50.

GBP148 on a cottage in calvados country next June – for a car + 4, with seven nights’ accommodation starting June 6, and day sailings from Portsmouth to Caen and back, the price after a 25 percent discount is GBP444.

GBP237 on summer camping on Brittany’s Pink Granite coast – for a car + 4, with 8 nights’ chalet-style mobile home accommodation commencing August 21 with day sailings from Plymouth to Roscoff and back, the price following 25 percent discount is GBP711.75

GBP169 on a June hotel break to mountainous northern Spain – for a car + 2, with three nights’ stay (bed and breakfast) plus two nights on board with en suite cabin, sailing Portsmouth-Santander on June14, and returning Santander-Portsmouth on June 18 – the price following 25 percent discount is GBP509.25.

New additions to the sail-and-stay portfolio in 2016 include a wider range of dog-friendly holidays and an expanded range of themed car and motorcycle tours, including wine-focused itineraries taking in Bordeaux, the Loire, the Champagne and Burgundy; a northern Spanish food and wine tour, as well as taking trails in the D-Day landing beaches and the charming sites of Normandy.
