Flybe, the UK-based European regional airline, has said that it has expanded its 2019 Summer schedule from Cardiff Airport with the continuation of its three times a day service to Dublin, increasing flights to three in each direction on Fridays, effective from April 5, 2019.
The move will offer customers with a choice of up to 15 flights a week to the Irish capital. The extra flight will provide additional capacity on the busy route, and also offers more flexibility to business and leisure travellers looking for an earlier flight home for the week-end, or a later departure if heading off for a more leisurely city break.
The service will also provide enhanced opportunities for sports groups and those passengers connecting on to Flybe’s Aer Lingus codeshare services out of Dublin to Boston, Chicago, Hartford, Los Angeles, New York (JFK and Newark Liberty), Orlando, San Francisco, Toronto and Washington – and pre-clear US customs/immigration whilst in transit in Dublin.
With the expansion, the airline’s 2019 summer schedule features 15 routes in total offering a choice of up to 78 flights a week. The other highlights of Flybe’s 2019 Summer schedule from Cardiff include up to two flights a day to Paris Charles de Gaulle, multi frequency flights to Belfast City and up to three flights a day to Edinburgh from Monday to Friday, flights to key European destinations including Munich, Rome and Verona and an extension of Chambery and Geneva ski routes through to mid-April. In addition, Flybe franchise partner Eastern Airways will operate flights to Anglesey and Newcastle. The flights are all available for booking at www.flybe.com.
Roy Kinnear, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer commented: ‘Our 2019 Summer programme from Cardiff Airport offers a comprehensive range of travel options and we look forward to welcoming more passengers on board our additional Friday flights to and from Dublin.’
