Two Must-Visit Hotels By LVMH In Saint Tropez
For luxury goods business LVMH, Saint Tropez is a natural choice of location – not just for its array of elegant boutiques and department stores, but now for hotels too.
In St Tropez, LVMH has opened two stunning hotels: Cheval Blanc, a unique, beachfront property, and White 1921, right in the heart of St-Tropez. Each was created with LVMH’s four founding values – craftsmanship, privacy, creativity and the art of hospitality – firmly in mind. White 1921 has just eight guest rooms, but what it lacks in numbers it more than make up for in exclusivity. Meanwhile Cheval Blanc’s 30 luxurious rooms offer guests an idyllic escape – step out of the hotel and dive straight into the azure Gulf of St Tropez.

Cheval Blanc – On The Water’s Edge
Located in a 1936 villa, the interior of the Cheval Blanc was redesigned by Paris-based architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte and given a contemporary visual identity, with a new lobby, a 350sqm Guerlain Spa and elegant guest rooms, some of which have spectacular sea views.

This St Tropez, LVMH owned hotel has two restaurants and a bar. The bistro La Terrace is situated by the sea and shaded by pines, epitomising the laid-back essence of Mediterranean dining. In a more formal setting, La Vague d’Or, with its three Michelin stars, takes its guests on a magical journey between land and sea every evening.

The hotel’s beach, a sanctuary in Plage de la Bouillabaisse St Tropez, and adjacent heated fresh-water pool are open daily with drinks and light bites served under the sun. For sheer relaxation and indulgence, the Guerlain Spa offers body and facial treatments, with a hammam and a snow shower and ice fountain for the brave.
White 1921 – In The Heart Of Saint Tropez
Its boutique sister hotel White 1921 is in a white, neo-classical villa located in the Place des Lices, home of the open-air Provençal market which takes place every Tuesday and Saturday mornings, selling fresh produce, fabulous Riviera fashions and high-quality accessories and antiques.
The guest-rooms are all contemporary and elegant, reflecting the spirit of the former mansion. Principally white with subtle tones of other colours, one opens onto the courtyard, another offers loft-style accommodation, the junior suite has its own sunny private terrace, and all eight have lovely garden views.
This St Tropez, LVMH owned hotel has also rapidly become one of the town’s hottest evening venues, with its elegant white lounge bar hosting an array of live music and DJs. Creating a link between the interior and the jasmine-scented garden, this bar was also designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte. A fabulous setting for after-dinner drinks and signature cocktails, its wine cellar features vintage champagne brands, some of which date back to 1921.
If you would like to follow in the footsteps of LVMH, Saint Tropez is a wonderful base on the French Riviera, synonymous with all that is chic, glamorous and luxurious. What’s more, if you’re looking for properties for sale, St Tropez has many beautiful villas on offer, with landscaped gardens, sparkling swimming pools, beach access or stunning sea views.
