TUI, a travel and leisure company, has announced the addition of 1,500 hotels on sale across 22 destinations for UK guests for summer 2024.
According to a release by Norwich Airport, customers in East Anglia will get more choice in popular destinations such as Ibiza, Menorca and Turkey from Norwich. With a total of 14 flights a week, TUI flying offers nine routes from the region, with the largest number of flights to Palma Majorca, three times each week.
The 1,500 hotels now on sale feature in popular spots like Greece, The Canaries and The Balearics, and are operated from more than 20 regional airports across the UK.
The move comes after research revealed that holidaymakers flying from Norwich are more likely to book a summer holiday to Tenerife, Majorca and Turkey on an all-inclusive basis, compared with those flying from Southampton, who are more likely to travel to Majorca, Jersey and Ibiza, on an all-inclusive basis for their summer holiday.
Andrew Flintham, Managing Director at TUI UK & Ireland, commented: ‘We are proud of our unrivalled regional flying programme that operates from more UK airports than any other international airline, offering more flexibility and choice to our customers from 20 regional airports. Norwich has been a long-standing partner of ours and it’s great to see the evolution of this important partnership, which has sent more than 400K passengers on holiday in the past 10 years.
‘The additional hotels on sale for next summer is testament to positive bookings and we know Brits want to travel more than ever. We are continually focussed on expanding our regional flying programme so that we can continue to make great holidays accessible for as many people as possible.
‘At TUI we’re proud to be an award winning travel company – recently winning Best Travel Company for summer sun holidays, Best Travel Company for winter sun holidays, Best Travel Company for Lakes and Mountains holidays and Best Travel Company for Ski/ Winter sports holidays at the British Travel Awards. We offer an outstanding range of holidays and owned hotels concepts, like TUI Blue.’
Richard Pace, Managing Director at Norwich Airport, said: ‘TUI’s addition of 1,500 hotels on its routes from next summer is great news and gives passengers even more choice from Norwich Airport. We’re delighted that bookings have started so strongly this year and we have been recruiting extra staff for the busy season ahead.’
