BA Euroflyer, a subsidiary of British Airways based in Gatwick, has announced the inclusion of Fuerteventura on its route network.
Starting from November 2, 2023, Fuerteventura will become the fourth Canary Island served by the airline, joining Tenerife, Lanzarote, and Gran Canaria. Operating twice weekly during the winter season on Thursdays and Sundays, BA Euroflyer will use a combination of A320 and A321 aircraft to fly to the beautiful island. Additionally, beginning February 28, 2024, an extra flight will be introduced on Wednesdays, further enhancing connectivity options.
Known for its stunning beaches, rugged coastlines, and expansive natural landscapes, Fuerteventura, is the second largest island in the Canary archipelago. With its ideal weather conditions year round, the island is popular among water sports enthusiasts, including surfing, sailing, and windsurfing.
BA Euroflyer’s CEO, Tom Stoddart, said: ‘Adding Fuerteventura means we now fly to the four largest Canary Islands, which are great options for families, couples, and friends alike. Fuerteventura enjoys warm weather year-round, making it a fantastic choice for those seeking winter sunshine without venturing further afield.’
Travelers can secure return flights to Fuerteventura starting from £129. For those who book a Euro Traveller (economy) flight-only ticket before June 18, 2023, the airline is offering a discount of more than 10% on their fare, with early bird flights available from £114. Avios members can also avail themselves of flight-only tickets starting from £1 plus 27,500 Avios.
Passengers looking for an enhanced travel experience can opt for the Club Europe (business class) option, offering pre-flight lounge access, improved personal space, a full meal with a selection of drinks from the bar, and additional baggage allowance.
For those seeking a complete vacation package, British Airways Holidays is also offering a selection of hotels. Seven-night flight and hotel packages start from £349 per person. Avios users can opt for pay-with-Avios packages, with prices beginning at £1 plus 79,500 Avios per person for a seven-night holiday. Deposits for these packages start from less than 11,000 Avios per person, based on double occupancy.
Fuerteventura is the seventh new destination added to BA Euroflyer’s route network this year. In addition to Fuerteventura, the airline recently unveiled new summer flights to Montpellier, Corfu, Mykonos, and Salzburg, as well as new winter services to Sharm El Sheikh and Innsbruck.
