Princess Cruises has recently expanded its trade sales team by appointing two new strategic members.

This move aims to strengthen the company’s partnerships and business opportunities within the UK market.

Princess Cruises has announced a strategic expansion of its trade sales team, with the appointment of two seasoned professionals, Yasmin McKechnie and Josh Smith. These appointments bolster the team to a total of 17 members, demonstrating the company’s commitment to enhancing trade partnerships and business development.

Yasmin McKechnie has been appointed as the senior sales manager, effective April 22. She joins Princess Cruises with extensive experience, having served eight years at P&O Cruises in strategic roles. Her background also includes a significant tenure at Virgin Holidays, where she honed her skills in strategic business management and e-commerce.

In her new role, McKechnie is tasked with supporting the UK sales team’s strategic plans. This involves focusing on individual accounts, strategic partnerships, and fostering business development across the UK. McKechnie’s approach will allow sales managers to concentrate on enhancing relationships with trade partners.

Josh Smith will assume the role of sales development and engagement manager on May 7. With seven years in the travel industry, Smith brings experience from Royal Caribbean International, Virgin Atlantic, and Tui. His role will be pivotal in acting as the voice of Princess Cruises to the trade, sharing key information and executing training initiatives.

Princess Cruises is poised to introduce a new class of ships, a move that is expected to reinvigorate excitement in the cruise sector. The addition of Sun Princess and Star Princess signifies a new era for the company, offering trade partners compelling reasons to engage with the brand. “The delivery of a new class of ship is something that I cannot wait to share with our trade partners,” said Smith.

As Princess Cruises embarks on this strategic expansion of its trade sales team, the company is set to enhance its market presence and strengthen relationships with key trade partners, fostering a robust business ecosystem for future growth.

The expansion of Princess Cruises’ trade sales team is a forward-looking initiative to bolster industry partnerships and foster growth, highlighting the company’s commitment to strategic development.

Through these new appointments, Princess Cruises is reinforcing its dedication to supporting its trade partners, ensuring continued success in a competitive market.
