Nick Hughes is set to reassume the role of chairman at Tipto, marking a significant return to a position he held during a pivotal time for the organisation.

This transition, effective from September, brings a seasoned executive back to the fore, promising continuity and strengthened leadership for Tipto’s future.

The Scenic Group’s illustrious executive, Nick Hughes, will assume the role of Tipto chairman, succeeding Richard Forde this September. This appointment marks his return to a familiar leadership role within the trade association, poised to lead it into its 26th year of operation. Hughes’ previous tenure was notably shaped by the Covid-19 pandemic, adding valuable experience to his repertoire.

His current position as sales, strategy, and partnerships director at Scenic and Emerald Cruises solidifies his standing in the industry. These brands, members of Tipto from 2018, have benefited from his vast expertise and strategic insight, ensuring they remain pivotal in the trade association’s framework.

As sales, strategy, and partnerships director at Scenic and Emerald Cruises, Hughes has been instrumental in positioning these brands within Tipto’s operational framework.

His initiatives focus on harnessing strategic alliances and steering the brands’ growth trajectories effectively within the competitive travel sector.

The inclusion of Scenic and Emerald Cruises in Tipto since 2018 has not only enhanced the association’s portfolio but also reinforced its relevance in an ever-evolving marketplace.

Hughes’ return is underpinned by a commitment to delivering excellence and supporting Tipto’s mission of providing top-tier training and resources.

He described his role as an honour, acknowledging Richard Forde’s achievements and the solid groundwork established during his tenure.
