The travel incentives sector witnessed an unprecedented success, as My Booking Rewards (MBR) announced record-breaking achievements. UK travel agents reaped significant benefits, earning rewards exceeding £50,000.

Spanning the peak season, these rewards were garnered from a surge of bookings made between December 2023 and January 2024. This leap in activity highlights the growing importance and effectiveness of reward-based systems within the travel industry.

    Record-Breaking Peaks in Rewards

My Booking Rewards has shattered previous records, with agents receiving rewards such as cash incentives, complimentary room nights, and places on familiarisation trips. Over 13,000 bookings were processed on the MBR platform, coinciding with an impressive supplier sales revenue totalling £80 million. The comparison with the previous year is remarkable, marking an increase from £37,000 in rewards shared across 10,000 bookings, with suppliers generating £63 million in revenue.

    The Rise in Agent Participation

This year’s peak season saw the addition of over 500 new agents to the My Booking Rewards system, reflecting an increased interest in reward-driven incentives. Darren Pearson, My Booking Rewards’ chief executive, expressed satisfaction in facilitating agents to enhance their earning potential through the platform. He emphasised the positive impact not only on agents but also on suppliers who benefit from incentivised bookings.
Pearson noted, “An integral part of our strategy is to support the agent-supplier dynamic, improving earning capabilities across the board.”

    Ongoing Opportunities and Offers

The company continues to roll out attractive offers, extending through February 2024, incorporating double cash and point rewards from select suppliers. This strategic initiative is designed to maintain momentum and ensure continuous engagement from agents and suppliers alike.
To further this engagement, My Booking Rewards provides educational opportunities via webinars and offers a comprehensive marketing toolkit.

    Strengthening the Agent-Supplier Relationship

By focusing on enhancing the agent-supplier dynamic, My Booking Rewards has built a strong framework for mutual success. The incentives not only elevate agents’ earnings but also contribute significantly to suppliers’ return on investment (ROI).
MBR’s approach includes comprehensive training and information dissemination, becoming a cornerstone of their collaborative efforts.

This multi-faceted strategy underscores the company’s commitment to fostering a successful partnership between agents and suppliers, reinforcing My Booking Rewards’ pivotal role in the travel incentives sector.

    CEO’s Vision for Future Growth

Darren Pearson’s leadership has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth and adaptability in the travel industry. Under his guidance, My Booking Rewards aims to further innovate and develop its rewards model to maximise benefits for all stakeholders involved.
Pearson remains optimistic about the future, hinting at new developments on the horizon that promise to elevate the user experience further.

Pearson articulated a clear vision: “Our goal is to continue redefining the incentives landscape, leveraging technology and insight to empower both agents and suppliers.”

    Conclusion of the Peak Season
