Riviera Travel Unveils Expanded 2025 European Tour Options

Riviera Travel has unveiled an impressive expansion to its 2025 European tours, introducing a variety of new travel itineraries. With a focus on smaller groups and enriched experiences, the company’s offerings are set to redefine escorted travel in Europe.

The newly launched tours signify Riviera’s dedication to diverse and personalised travel experiences. This strategic enhancement includes reduced group sizes and innovative tour options, aligning with customer demand for more intimate and engaging journeys.

    Expansion of European Portfolio

Riviera Travel has expanded its 2025 European portfolio with the introduction of 16 new holidays. This includes 12 new Grand European tours, three innovative solo travel options, and an additional ‘walk and discover’ holiday. Such expansion reflects the company’s commitment to offering diverse travel opportunities, catering to a variety of interests and travel preferences.

The Grand European tours span several captivating destinations, including Austria, France, and Croatia. With a focus on increased group flexibility, these tours aim to provide a more personalised travel experience, reducing average group sizes to about 22 participants. This change is poised to enhance the overall guest experience by allowing more immersive and intimate interactions with the locales.

    Smaller Group Sizes

In response to guest feedback, Riviera Travel has decided to lower the maximum group size on its Classic tours from 50 to 36. This adjustment, applicable to the 2025 schedule, ensures guests enjoy more space and personalised attention during their travels. The company’s exploration-driven ethos is evident in this move as it strives to refine the touring experience by creating smaller, more cohesive group dynamics.

The reduction in group size not only offers logistical benefits but also allows for a deeper engagement with the itinerary’s rich offerings. Guests are poised to benefit from a more bespoke experience, potentially leading to higher satisfaction and enriched travel memories.

New Solo Travel and ‘Walk and Discover’ Options

Riviera Travel’s new solo tours are tailored for those exploring independent adventures. Destinations include Krakow, Slovenia, and Turkey, targeting a niche market of solo travellers seeking unique and safe experiences.

Additionally, the ‘walk and discover’ holiday offers an exciting option for those keen on active travel. Spanning eight days, the Dubrovnik and the Dalmatian Coast itinerary is a blend of activity and relaxation, providing an engaging way to explore the scenic beauty of Croatia’s coastal region.

    Signature Experiences

Nine previously announced tours will include ‘signature experiences,’ offering exclusive visits and activities at an additional cost. These experiences are designed to bring an extra dimension to the tours, providing participants with unique insights and exclusive access to attractions. This initiative represents Riviera’s dedication to innovation and enhancing value for its clients.

These experiences, set to enrich the travel itinerary, are anticipated to draw interest from guests eager for deeper cultural engagements and memorable moments. They add a layer of exclusivity that can transform a standard holiday into an unforgettable journey.

    Insights from Riviera’s Leadership

Joanne Lynn, head of short-haul product at Riviera, expressed the company’s enthusiasm, stating, “The exciting move to a smaller group size on our Classic tours will enhance the guest experience even further.” This strategic change aligns with the company’s ethos of exploration and discovery in European travel.

Lynn further noted the 2025 programme’s ambition to push exploration boundaries, mixing classic and exclusive destinations. Her insights highlight Riviera’s focus on crafting itineraries that allow guests to engage deeply with their chosen locales, providing a blend of tradition and innovation.

According to Lynn, the new tours are tailored to appeal to those wishing to explore Europe more insightfully. She indicated that longer tour options would give more time for exploration at a relaxed pace, enhancing the overall travel experience.

    Extended Tour Durations

Riviera Travel’s decision to offer longer durations on their European tours marks a significant shift from the traditional seven-night trips. These extended options, ranging from nine to 13 days, provide guests with the opportunity to explore destinations more comprehensively.

Longer stays in places like Italy and Spain allow guests to experience local cultures and landscapes in depth, beyond the cursory visits typical of shorter tours. This approach fosters a more meaningful connection to the travel destination, aligning with Riviera’s commitment to experiential travel.

Riviera Travel’s expanded offerings for 2025 represent a thoughtful response to evolving travel preferences, emphasising personalisation and exclusivity. The addition of smaller group sizes and unique experiences illustrates the company’s commitment to enhancing guest satisfaction.

As the travel landscape changes, Riviera Travel’s strategic developments position the company as a leader in curated European touring experiences, setting a new standard for the industry.
