Jetset recently celebrated International Women’s Day by hosting a special event dedicated to women in the travel industry. The event took place at Champneys Forest Mere in Surrey.
This annual gathering, now in its second year, saw an impressive increase in attendance, with 35 female agents participating. Sponsored by leading travel brands, the event was designed to appreciate and support women in travel.
Jetset recently hosted an exclusive event in honour of women in the travel industry. Held at the prestigious Champneys Forest Mere in Surrey, the gathering coincided with International Women’s Day on March 8. This significant occasion was marked by the attendance of 35 female travel agents, including both homeworkers and high street retailers from various independent and multiple agencies.
The participants were treated to a day of relaxation and networking, starting with a delightful breakfast. Throughout the day, the attendees enjoyed a range of spa treatments and had access to the luxurious facilities including a swimming pool, jacuzzis, and steam rooms. This provided an ideal setting for fostering connections and sharing experiences among peers.
This year, the event saw sponsorship from notable industry leaders such as Experience Kissimmee, Air Canada, and Flexible Autos. With their support, Jetset doubled the event’s capacity from the previous year, ensuring more agents could partake in the experience.
Chloe Smyth, Jetset’s sales executive, highlighted the company’s pride in supporting both the women and men in the industry. Smyth stated, “As a trade-only operator, we are very proud of all the women in the industry, and the men, and grateful for all their support.” The event also served to celebrate a significant milestone: the 18th anniversary of their ‘Jets’ booking system.
The Jets system, crucial for the company’s operations, recently underwent its most extensive revamp since its inception. Starting with a single developer in 2006, the system now boasts a team of five developers who continuously update and enhance its functionalities. The latest feature, “Enhance the Experience,” launched on Valentine’s Day, aims to simplify the selling process by distinguishing features of each seat type, from economy to premium.
Looking towards the future, Jetset plans to host a series of events continuing to celebrate its innovative booking system. These include a golf day and participation in the Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards set for July 2024. Such initiatives underline Jetset’s commitment to agent engagement and industry excellence.
Jetset’s milestone of 18 years in operation marks a period of growth and innovation in the travel industry. With dedicated events and continuous improvements to their systems, Jetset is poised to maintain its pivotal role, supporting agents and enhancing customer experiences across the board.
Jetset’s commitment to celebrating and empowering women within the travel industry is evident through its well-received spa event. By acknowledging the contributions of female agents and continuously enhancing their services, Jetset sets a benchmark for industry engagement.
As Jetset looks to the future, their focus on innovation and recognition of industry professionals highlights their dedication to excellence.
