Fred Holidays celebrates a new venture as the UK general sales agent for Lindblad Expeditions, broadening its horizons in the travel sector.

This strategic partnership seeks to boost Lindblad Expeditions’ visibility in the UK, targeting increased market presence and customer engagement through innovative sales strategies.

Fred Holidays has been entrusted with the role of the UK general sales agent (GSA) for Lindblad Expeditions, signalling a significant expansion of the cruise line’s global footprint. The collaboration aims to elevate Lindblad Expeditions’ presence in the UK market through focused sales and marketing initiatives.

The partnership between Fred Holidays and Lindblad Expeditions will actively work to increase passenger sourcing. With 19 vessels in its fleet and 600 departures annually, Lindblad Expeditions offers a unique proposition for travellers interested in adventure and exploration. This initiative is expected to attract a wider and more diverse audience.

To spearhead these efforts, Fred Holidays is currently recruiting a head of UK sales. This role is critical in managing the collaborative efforts between the two companies. The selected individual will work closely with Lindblad Expeditions’ sales leadership team, particularly with director of tour operations, Tricia Birmingham.

Christine Stevens, recently appointed as vice president of national, strategic, and international accounts for Lindblad Expeditions, will oversee the development and implementation of strategic sales initiatives in the UK. Her expertise is anticipated to enhance the existing relationship with Fred Holidays and support the overarching goal of expanding Lindblad Expeditions’ market reach.

Sales and revenue senior vice president Kathi Riddle noted, “It has long been a goal of ours to grow our sales internationally and reach a broader, more diverse audience beyond our strong presence in the US and Australia. With their gold-star reputation and deep understanding of the UK market, Fred Holidays is the perfect partner to help us shatter our international growth goals.”

Birmingham added, “There is so much potential for the growth of expedition and adventure cruise within the UK and I am confident that Fred Holidays will be successful in helping Lindblad Expeditions achieve their objectives of increased brand awareness and significant business growth.”

As Fred Holidays embarks on this new role with Lindblad Expeditions, both entities anticipate a successful collaboration that fosters growth and enhances market presence.

With a dedicated approach to innovation and market understanding, the partnership is set to redefine expedition cruising in the UK, meeting the evolving demands of modern travellers.
