    Viking debuts new ship for Nile cruises

    Viking has expanded its fleet with the new Viking Hathor ship, now ready to navigate the Nile River.

    • The Viking Hathor’s delivery ceremony took place in Cairo, marking the addition of this vessel to the fleet.
    • Designed similarly to its sister ships, Viking Hathor promises luxury and comfort with its 41 staterooms.
    • Scheduled to embark on the Pharaohs & Pyramids itinerary, it offers an enriching 12-day journey along the Nile.
    • Viking is set to enhance the travel experience on the Nile, catering to those intrigued by Egypt’s ancient treasures.

    Viking has introduced the latest addition to its fleet, the Viking Hathor, designed to explore the Nile River with sophistication and style. The official delivery of this vessel was held at the Massara shipyard in Cairo, Egypt, a significant event for the renowned cruise line.

    The Viking Hathor mirrors the elegance and luxury of its predecessors, Viking Osiris and Viking Aton, featuring a distinctive design with a square bow. Housing 41 staterooms, the ship is tailored to accommodate 82 guests, ensuring an intimate and exclusive cruising experience.

    With its maiden voyage set for the Pharaohs & Pyramids itinerary, the Viking Hathor will provide a 12-day immersion into Egypt’s ancient history. Guests will have the unique opportunity to witness Egypt’s cultural treasures and antiquities, making each journey a richly rewarding experience.

    Torstein Hagen, Viking’s chairman and chief executive, expressed the company’s pride, stating, “We are proud to welcome Viking Hathor to our award-winning river fleet.” He highlighted Viking’s commitment to providing the most elegant vessels on the Nile, aimed at satisfying the curiosity of travellers eager to discover Egypt’s wonders.
