Caledonian Leisure has successfully acquired a renowned hotel in Blackpool, marking an expansion in its property portfolio.

    • Liberty’s Hotel on the Northern Promenade will be rebranded as The Caledonian Tower Hotel.
    • The acquisition is the second for the group, following last year’s purchase of the Claymore Hotel in Scotland.
    • The new hotel is a favourite among Caledonian Travel customers, offering proximity to major attractions and entertainment.
    • Caledonian Leisure plans to offer new packages through its established brand channels and travel agents.

Caledonian Leisure has strategically enhanced its portfolio by acquiring the well-known Liberty’s Hotel in Blackpool for an undisclosed sum. This acquisition marks the company’s second property, complementing their earlier purchase of the Claymore Hotel in Arrochar, Scotland.

Now to be rebranded as The Caledonian Tower Hotel, Liberty’s Hotel is celebrated for its strategic location on the Northern Promenade. The hotel provides easy access to the beach and Blackpool’s prominent attractions such as the Blackpool Tower, making it a preferred choice among Caledonian Travel patrons.

Caledonian Leisure’s managing director, Graham Rogers, expressed enthusiasm about this acquisition, describing Blackpool as a top-selling UK destination for the company. “Blackpool remains a firm favourite with our customers and is Caledonian Leisure’s best-selling UK destination,” Rogers noted, highlighting the destination’s year-round appeal.

The hotel is set to maintain its reputation as one of Blackpool’s key entertainment hubs while continuing to deliver high-quality hospitality and accommodation. The existing staff will join Caledonian Leisure, ensuring continuity in service and maintaining the esteemed standards guests expect.

The acquisition is poised to enable Caledonian Leisure to grow further through its Caledonian Travel and UKBreakaways brands. A variety of package deals will be introduced, leveraging their robust network of travel agents and brand channels to reach a wide customer base.
