As Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa nears its 15th anniversary, the luxury resort is proud to welcome Davide Allievi as Executive Chef and Daniele Obili as Activities Base Leader. Known for its eco-conscious approach and exceptional marine environment, the resort continues to elevate guest experiences through sustainability and tailored hospitality. These appointments signal a commitment to enriching culinary and activity offerings with authenticity and care.

Culinary Excellence with a Sense of Place

Newly appointed Executive Chef Davide Allievi brings over 15 years of fine dining experience, shaped by Michelin-starred training and leadership roles across Asia and Europe. Born in Italy and deeply influenced by the culinary rituals of his upbringing, Chef Davide blends heritage with innovation, placing sustainability and emotional connection at the heart of his kitchen.

“Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa is a place where luxury and nature are deeply intertwined. Here, every dish tells a story—not just of flavour, but of place, of season, of care. Our goal is to make each dining experience meaningful, rooted in the environment and elevated by craft,” said Chef Davide.

Since joining, he has enhanced the culinary direction across the resort’s five signature outlets. With upcoming plans to expand the resort’s garden and implement further zero-waste initiatives, his 2025–2026 vision is to position the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa as a globally recognised culinary destination in the Indian Ocean.

    Diving into Adventure with Purpose

Appointed as Activities Base Leader, Daniele Obili will be leading the resort’s Dive Centre, combining technical excellence with ecological awareness. With over a decade of experience in Egypt, Australia, Saudi Arabia and the Maldives, Daniele specialises in crafting transformative underwater experiences—from exhilarating drift dives to coral conservation workshops as part of a rotating programme of ‘Reef Talks’ in the week. These change daily and range from the vital role reefs play in ocean health to fascinating insights into the unique fish species that inhabit the resort’s award winning house reef.

“Our aim is to go beyond traditional diving—we want guests to truly connect with the marine world. Whether it’s spotting manta rays at Villingili Kandu or taking guests on their first snorkel experience, each activity is an opportunity for discovery and stewardship,” Daniele explains.

“I will also be leading guided snorkeling sessions with guests, offering a unique opportunity to explore the reef. These sessions not only enrich the snorkeling experience but also deepen guests’ understanding of marine life and reef ecology,” he continued.

The Dhoani Learning Centre offers a space for guests, children and the local community alike to learn about marine life preservation and sustainable practices. From protecting the house reef to engaging in meaningful environmental initiatives, the resort ensures every guest contributes to the preservation of this fragile paradise.

    A Vision for Purpose-Driven Hospitality

Commenting on the appointments, Anshul Sharma, General Manager of Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa, said:

“Davide and Daniele represent the future of hospitality—where experience meets integrity, and every detail is considered. Their leadership will enhance our ability to deliver deeply personal, sustainable, and unforgettable moments for our guests. At Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa, we don’t just host stays—we help guests immerse themselves in nature bringing them closer to nature.”

As Park Hyatt Hadahaa continues to attract loyal return guests and new adventurers alike, the resort remains committed to preserving the natural beauty of Huvadhoo Atoll while evolving its offerings in culinary excellence and marine engagement.

Seclusion and Sustainability in the Maldives

Nestled on Huvadhoo Atoll, the Maldives’ deepest and most remote natural atoll, Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa is a sanctuary where refined luxury meets environmental integrity. The journey to this untouched island—via a 50-minute domestic transfer followed by a 25-minute boat ride—leads guests to one of the Maldives’ most protected and thoughtfully designed resorts.

From its inception, the resort has been a pioneer in marine conservation and sustainable design. Construction was carefully managed to preserve native trees and coral reef systems, avoiding dredging and heavy machinery. The property remains proudly certified by Ecoluxury, EarthCheck, and Green Globe, and continues to draw discerning travellers seeking authentic island experiences and environmental consciousness.
