Air France has announced a direct connection from the UK to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, through Paris. This will open up exciting travel opportunities starting this November.

The new route signifies Air France’s commitment to strengthening its global network, offering increased accessibility to one of Africa’s most iconic destinations.

Air France has introduced a new connection from the UK to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, accessed via Paris Charles de Gaulle. This service extends their existing route to Zanzibar. Flights will operate thrice weekly starting on 18 November, allowing UK travellers seamless access to Africa’s highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro, via five major UK airports.

This exciting three-times-a-week service will appeal to both leisure and adventure travellers, aiming to visit the renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kilimanjaro National Park. The flights are part of a broader service extension, aiming to replace the current route to Zanzibar and Dar Es Salaam, signifying the strategic importance of the region to Air France.

Air France’s decision to choose the Airbus A350-900 highlights their commitment to offering modern and fuel-efficient aircraft. This move will not only minimise environmental impact but also improve fuel efficiency—a key focus for airlines today.

KLM’s operations in Tanzania are extensive, with flights to key destinations like Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar. This collaboration with Air France is seen as a strategic initiative to strengthen their presence in the African market, responding to an increasing demand for travel to these unique and spectacular destinations.

With such strategic additions, Air France is set on expanding its footprint in Africa, projecting confidence and bolstering its competitive edge against other carriers operating in a similar capacity.

The choice of five major airports in the UK is indicative of Air France’s commitment to providing broad access to their routes, tapping into diverse passenger demographics across the UK. This development promises to enhance Air France’s presence in the UK market.

By fostering these new connections, Air France not only strengthens its route network but also supports growth in tourism, offering passengers a greater range of travel options and contributing positively to the economies of the regions served.

This initiative promises to deliver enhanced connectivity and a better travel experience, marking significant strides in Air France’s strategic growth.

With new flights to Kilimanjaro, Air France is well-positioned to meet the demands of travel enthusiasts and boost tourism in the region.
