Blue Islands, a Flybe franchise partner, is offering 5,000 additional seats on its Bristol services this summer.

The airline will operate a further 76 flights between the Channel Islands and Bristol. Accordingly, in addition to the 14.40 departure (15.55 Saturdays and 14.15 Sundays), the Jersey – Bristol service will see extra flights at 11.15 on Mondays and Fridays with the additional Sunday flight departing slightly earlier at 11.00. All Blue Islands operated flights can be booked at flybe.com

Rob Veron, CEO Blue Islands said, ‘With additional flights on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays throughout the summer, there’s now even more seats and a choice of convenient flight times on the Bristol service operated by Blue Islands, perfect for weekend travels.’

‘For added connectivity, our services are timed to also enable Guernsey residents to fly on Blue Islands operated services via Jersey to Bristol. What’s more, the extra flights also provide added choice for visitors wishing to fly to the Channel Islands to discover the beautiful islands of Guernsey and Jersey this summer,’ Veron added.

Nigel Scott, Business Development Director, Bristol Airport said, ‘We are delighted that an additional 5,000 seats will be available to passengers wishing to fly this summer. The extra capacity offers a greater choice and flexibility of flights whether passengers are using Bristol Airport as a gateway to the region or selecting to fly to Jersey and using the service to connect between the Channel Islands.’

On arrival at Bristol Airport, the ‘Airport Flyer’ bus service operating every 10 minutes offers connection to the city centre, while the ‘Air Decker’ bus service will connect travellers with the spa city of Bath in about one hour, the airport said.
