EasyJet has broadened its fare bundles distribution through a new partnership with Travelport. This significant expansion opens up EasyJet’s full range of fare types to Travelport agency customers, including Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and Travel Management Companies (TMCs).

For the first time, fare bundles such as Standard Plus and Essential, which include benefits like seat selection and baggage options, will be accessible without any restrictions. This development marks a pivotal moment in fare distribution, providing greater access and flexibility for travellers.

    Enhanced Access to Fare Bundles

EasyJet has announced an expansion in the distribution of its fare bundles through Travelport. This collaboration makes these fare bundles available to all Travelport agency customers, which include Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and Travel Management Companies (TMCs). For the first time, these customers can access EasyJet’s full range of fare types without agency channel restrictions. This is a significant enhancement in fare distribution, allowing better access to a wider variety of travel options.

Travelport+ users will have access to EasyJet’s Standard Plus fare bundles, which include seat selection and a large cabin bag, and Essential fare bundles, offering seat selection and a checked bag. These new additions complement EasyJet’s existing fare types, such as Standard, Business Inclusive, and Flexi rates, thereby providing a comprehensive selection to meet various customer needs.

    Seamless Management for Agents

Travelport’s enhanced servicing capabilities are designed to ensure agents can seamlessly manage bookings with EasyJet. These capabilities include the ability to handle modifications and exchanges efficiently, which can significantly improve the booking process for agents.

Head of regional air partners, David Gomes, highlighted the benefits, stating, “This new deal means that Travelport-connected agencies can access EasyJet’s dynamic offers effortlessly, so they can book the best options for travellers based on their needs and preferences.”

    Personalised Travel Options

EasyJet is keen to deliver a more personalised travel experience to its customers. Dominic Tucker, Senior Distribution Manager at EasyJet, emphasised, “We’re bringing more EasyJet content to Travelport+ so that travel retailers across the globe can create more personalised offers and provide superior service to our customers.”

This partnership allows travellers to customise their travel experience more efficiently. Whether flying for business or leisure, customers can easily add extras when booking, making their journey more tailored to their individual needs.

    Extending Reach and Enhancing Services

The strategic partnership between EasyJet and Travelport is set to extend the reach of EasyJet’s fare bundles. By providing access to a broader market, EasyJet aims to increase its visibility and appeal among diverse traveller segments. This move is part of a broader strategy to enhance service offerings and ensure a more seamless booking experience.

With this enhanced access, travel agents have more tools at their disposal to upsell and personalise travel options, ultimately improving customer satisfaction. The ability to compare fare options in one place streamlines the process, making it easier for agents to offer the best possible deals.

    Market Impact and Future Growth

This new distribution model is expected to have a significant impact on the market. By opening up its fare bundles to more channels, EasyJet is positioning itself as a more flexible and accessible option for travellers.

The collaboration with Travelport is also expected to drive future growth. By leveraging Travelport’s extensive network and advanced technology, EasyJet can better meet the evolving needs of the market. This partnership reflects EasyJet’s commitment to enhancing its service offerings and staying competitive in a rapidly changing travel industry.
