EasyJet’s Return to Luxor
Budget airline EasyJet is set to reintroduce flights to Luxor, Egypt after a hiatus of more than a decade. The new service will commence from Gatwick Airport this winter, starting 11 November, with twice-weekly flights on Mondays and Thursdays. Luxor, a renowned historical site, is home to significant monuments such as the Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings, and the tomb of Tutankhamun.
EasyJet is also launching a river cruise package holiday from Luxor through its holiday arm. This initiative includes seven-night Nile cruises in collaboration with Jaz Hotels and Resorts. Additionally, Luxor hotel bookings are now available via EasyJet holidays.
New Routes from Liverpool and Manchester
Beyond Luxor, EasyJet is expanding its winter services with new flights to Sharm el Sheikh from Liverpool, starting on 14 February. These flights will run twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. Sharm el Sheikh, a favoured destination for beachgoers and divers, adds a leisure option for UK travellers.
In parallel, the airline will introduce two new routes to Oslo, Norway, from Manchester beginning 15 November, and from Liverpool starting 29 November. Both services will also operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, enhanced by EasyJet holidays offering a variety of city break packages in Oslo.
Comprehensive Winter Schedule
In addition to the aforementioned routes, EasyJet is enriching its winter 2024-25 schedule with 33 new routes from the UK. This substantial expansion aims to cater to growing demand for diverse travel destinations.

Paul Bixby, Chief Commercial Officer at EasyJet Holidays, remarked, “Our new Nile cruises make the grandeur of ancient Egypt more accessible than ever with a range of options to choose from, including the Iberotel Crown Empress and the Jaz Crown Jubilee.”
