Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have unveiled their most extensive Iceland winter programme yet, offering flights from 12 UK airports for the 2025-26 season.

With new routes from Bournemouth and Liverpool John Lennon airports, and over 170 outbound flights planned, this marks a 6% capacity increase. The programme responds to growing demand from early bookers for Iceland’s natural wonders.

    Unprecedented Reach Across the UK

Jet2.com is setting benchmarks by offering the largest network of flights from the UK to Iceland, now including Bournemouth and Liverpool. This unprecedented coverage allows travellers greater convenience and choice, highlighting the UK’s growing appetite for Icelandic adventures. The expansion aims to make Iceland accessible to a broader audience, catering to both seasoned travellers and first-time explorers.

    Comprehensive Travel Packages with Jet2CityBreaks

Jet2CityBreaks is offering an enticing package with a modest £60 deposit, inclusive of a guided tour of the northern lights, transfers, and three- to four-star accommodation in Reykjavik.

Alongside the inclusive deals, optional excursions to the captivating South Shore, Golden Circle, and the enchanting Blue Lagoon are available, ensuring a rich travel experience for all.

    Strategic Programme Launch

The programme’s early release on June 20th marks a strategic move by Jet2.com, addressing the trend of customers booking well in advance.

The early launch underscores the company’s commitment to meeting consumer demands and seizing market opportunities in the competitive travel industry.

This proactive approach not only enhances customer satisfaction but reinforces Jet2.com’s position as a leader in the travel sector.

    Executive Insights

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, emphasised the strategic expansion, noting the increased departure points and growing demand for Iceland.

Heapy remarked, ‘Iceland remains a highly favoured destination, thanks to its natural and cultural wonders.’ His statement reflects the brand’s commitment to delivering value and unique experiences for UK travellers.

Grétar Már Garðarsson from Keflavik airport welcomed the addition of new routes, highlighting the ongoing relationship since Jet2’s initial operations in 2019.

    Iceland: A Growing Interest

Iceland’s allure is undeniable, with its geothermal spas, geysers, and the famous Aurora Borealis attracting tourists.

The capital city, Reykjavik, with its blend of modernity and Nordic charm, offers an ideal base for visitors to explore the country’s diverse attractions.

The new flight routes signify a continued interest in Iceland as a prime destination for UK tourists.

    Additional Winter Offerings by Jet2

In addition to the Iceland programme, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have rolled out plans for their winter sun and ski itineraries for 2025-26.

These plans complement the Iceland offerings, catering to a wide range of holiday preferences and establishing Jet2 as a versatile holiday provider.

The dual focus on sun, ski, and city breaks aims to capture diverse market segments, ensuring comprehensive travel options throughout the winter season.

    Looking Ahead

Jet2.com continues to innovate by offering tailored travel experiences, expanding its reach, and responding to market demands.

The upcoming announcements about Christmas markets and city breaks are eagerly anticipated, promising further exciting travel opportunities for customers.

Jet2.com’s expansion of its Iceland programme reflects its adaptive strategies and commitment to customer-centric travel. With increased routes and comprehensive packages, the company is well-positioned to meet the evolving demands of UK travellers.
