Bournemouth Airport has recently announced the addition of more winter sun holidays with year-round twice-weekly flights to Tenerife with TUI. Starting Monday October 4, TUI will add another Canary Islands route with weekly flights to Gran Canaria operating until April 22 next year. The routes are the latest addition to Bournemouth’s network as international travel becomes easier. TUI has six winter holiday destinations on sale for 2021, and 14 on offer for summer 2022. Emirates will restart its flights from London Gatwick Airport to Dubai from December 10, following the easing of international travel restrictions and an increase in passenger demand for winter sun. The international airline will resume services to Gatwick with a daily flight operated on a B777 aircraft, across First, Business and Economy class. Flight EK015 will depart Dubai International (DXB) at 0740 and arrive in London Gatwick (LGW) at 1140, while flight EK016 will depart London Gatwick at 1335 and arrive in Dubai at 0040 the following day (all times are local). British Airways is set to resume its nonstop service from Austin to London-Heathrow on October 13, as the transatlantic service will return to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport following a 17 month absence. The resumed service is scheduled for three days a week on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, aboard a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Flight number BA190 will depart Austin at 8:05 p.m. and arrive in London at 10:10 a.m. the following morning. British Airways has said that it will add the islands of Sao Miguel and Terceira, in Azores archipelago, to its Heathrow short-haul network from next summer. Flights to the two new summer hotspots will operate once a week, with Sao Miguel launching on July 2 until September 3; and Terceira launching on July 10 until August 28. British Airways has said that it will resume operations form Birmingham Airport with a flight service to be introduced between Belfast and Birmingham. The flights will operate twice daily, increasing to three times a day on a Thursday and Friday. The flights will be operated using an Embraer 190 with capacity of 98 seats.
