easyJet, the UK-based regional airline, has announced the introduction of a new summer service from Jersey to Amsterdam – its first-ever international route from the Island.

The new route will join existing services from Jersey to London Gatwick, London Luton, Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow as well as summer routes to Edinburgh and Belfast. The new summer service is scheduled to launch on April 1, 2023, operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Seats are currently on sale at easyJet.com and via the mobile App, with fares starting from £24.99 one way per person including taxes.

One of Europe’s most vibrant cities with its picturesque canal network, rich history and culture, Amsterdam is a popular city break destination offering tranquil boat rides through tree-shaded canals to world-class art museums such as the Van Gogh Museum.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said: ‘As the largest airline serving Jersey, we are delighted to further strengthen our network with the addition of our new route to Amsterdam, our very first international service from the airport, and to be bolstering our connections to London Gatwick with a new early morning/additional daily flight to serve our customers in Jersey with even greater connectivity.

‘Alongside our existing range of domestic routes, we know this new service will prove to be a popular addition and provide customers with even more choice, all with great value fares and fantastic customer service.

‘And with flights for autumn 2023 on sale tomorrow, customers can also book early for next autumn and snap up the best fares across our network to find a great-value getaway or October half term holiday.’

Ports of Jersey’s Chef Executive, Matt Thomas, commented: ‘This new route is a major milestone for Jersey’s connectivity, providing direct access for Islanders to the wonderful city of Amsterdam and a global travel hub. Ports of Jersey has been working hard to expand Jersey’s connectivity with mainland Europe, and this route will not only strengthen connections for Islanders, it will also expand travel options for continental visitors wishing to visit our Island.’
