APT and Travelmarvel have launched an innovative competition for travel agents. This initiative offers to cover food shopping expenses for an entire year.
The new competition aims to provide meaningful support to agents amidst the current economic challenges. It is designed to alleviate part of the cost-of-living pressures by covering food expenses.
APT & Travelmarvel are offering a competition which will cover the cost of food shopping for one travel agent’s household for a year. The total value of the prize is £4,200, delivered in Love2Shop vouchers.
Citing the latest industry research, APT highlighted that the average annual food shopping expense in the UK is £4,125. The vouchers are valid at major stores such as Sainsbury’s, ASDA, or Morrisons.
The competition has been devised to support the trade in a substantial way. To enter, agents must subscribe to APT’s trade emails by 14 December 2023. Alternatively, they can sign up in person at various trade events.
The winner will be randomly selected on 15 December 2023. The intention is to relieve one winner of food shopping expenses, providing these costs in manageable monthly instalments.
Brad Bennetts, APT & Travelmarvel’s head of sales and business development, expressed that the contest is a response to the rising cost of living.
He remarked: “Times are tough out there, so we wanted to support our valued partners by creating a campaign that was both exciting and meaningful.”
The primary goal is to reduce financial strain on one lucky winner, giving them a full year of relief from food costs.
The competition is part of a broader strategy, which includes other ‘value-added’ offers to boost river cruise sales this summer. These initiatives are intended to enhance sales by providing further benefits to agents.
APT’s strategic approach underscores its commitment to supporting the trade through innovative solutions and incentives.
The Love2Shop vouchers, accumulating to £4,200, will be dispersed in monthly instalments of £350. They can be utilised at Sainsbury’s, ASDA, or Morrisons.
This structured payment aims to manage the recipient’s expenses more effectively.
