In a strategic move to strengthen relationships with travel partners, P&O Cruises is set to reward 100 travel agents with an exclusive opportunity. Agents will secure a place on one of two spectacular seven-night cruises aboard the Iona.

This initiative marks the largest trade booking incentive in P&O Cruises’ history, highlighting the company’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships within the travel industry. Agents on board will not only enjoy the cruise experience but will also engage in interactive learning sessions designed to enhance their expertise in selling P&O Cruises.

    Details of the Cruise Incentive

P&O Cruises will host travel agents aboard the Iona on two memorable voyages, providing a hands-on experience of the ship’s outstanding amenities. The first cruise embarks on 7 September 2024, exploring the scenic Norwegian fjords, while the second sets sail on 2 November 2024, touring vibrant northern European cities.

Agents on board will have access to the ship’s diverse dining options, immersive entertainment experiences, and a chance to visit stunning ports of call. These voyages aim to equip agents with firsthand knowledge vital for promoting the P&O Cruises brand effectively.

    Participation and Reward Mechanics

To participate in this groundbreaking incentive, agents must register at the Shine Rewards Club website and maximise their cruise bookings between 8 April and 20 May 2024. Each confirmed booking grants an entry into the draw for the coveted onboard experience.

Additional entries can be earned by engaging in P&O Cruises’ online events, such as the April Facebook Live session and the Homeworker Happy Hour. These platforms provide agents with further opportunities to enhance their knowledge and boost their chances of securing a spot on the cruise.

    Ruth Venn’s Enthusiasm

Ruth Venn, Sales Director at P&O Cruises, expressed her enthusiasm about the initiative, stating, “We are incredibly excited to launch the Shine at Sea programme.”

She emphasised that providing agents with firsthand experience on the Iona will empower them with the confidence and knowledge to excel in selling P&O Cruises. “Agents should act swiftly,” she added, urging them to book as many spots as possible during the promotional period.

    Additional Opportunities

In addition to the main incentive, P&O Cruises has announced further rewards, including a chance for agents to win tickets to the prestigious BAFTAs ceremony. Through the Shine Rewards Club, 25 pairs of tickets will be available to the lucky members.

This additional incentive offers agents yet another reason to engage deeply with P&O Cruises and enhance their professional rewards.

    Committing to Trade Partnerships

P&O Cruises’ initiative underscores a strategic commitment to nurturing its relationship with travel agents. By hosting such a significant number of agents on these cruises, P&O aims to strengthen ties and ensure agents are well-informed ambassadors of the brand.

The company’s decision to invest in its partners reflects its understanding of the critical role agents play in driving bookings and sustaining customer interest.

    Boosting Sales and Engagement

P&O Cruises’ innovative incentive program is not just about rewarding agents but also driving sales and engagement. By motivating agents through competitive initiatives, P&O aims to invigorate its market presence and achieve record-breaking sales figures.

The company has already witnessed a strong start to the year, reflecting the potential impact of well-designed motivational programs in the cruise industry.
