In response to increasing interest, TUI River Cruises is set to expand its fleet on the Nile. Next winter, a second vessel will be added, catering to the heightened product demand witnessed in 2024.

The addition of TUI Bahareya underscores TUI’s strategic expansion in river cruising. Aimed at enhancing customer experience through innovative offerings, this move aligns with emerging travel trends.

TUI River Cruises is gearing up to launch TUI Bahareya, the sixth addition to their fleet, marking their second vessel on the Nile. This development reflects an increasing demand as travellers show a keen interest in exploring the historical and cultural richness of the Egyptian river. The ship is scheduled to start its voyages in the winter of 2025, enriching the traveller’s itinerary with unique experiences.

In addition to luxurious accommodations, TUI Bahareya features flights departing from Gatwick and Manchester every Tuesday. These flights operate from 4 November 2025 through to 21 April 2026, ensuring accessible travel options for guests.

A full entertainment programme, available day and night, ensures that passengers remain engaged and entertained throughout their journey. Tailored activities onboard are further complemented by excursions curated by destination experts, providing a balanced mix of adventure and relaxation.

Ports of call for these cruises include the famed locations of Luxor, Kom Ombo, Aswan, and Edfu. The itineraries alternate monthly, providing diverse experiences for returning guests and ensuring a fresh perspective on each voyage.

This all-inclusive approach underscores TUI’s commitment to offering comprehensive travel solutions, allowing passengers to experience the richness of the Nile without additional concerns.

Berzins also mentioned the vessel’s different culturally immersive experience, highlighting the modern Arabic décor, cuisine, and activities that set the TUI Bahareya apart from its counterparts.

TUI River Cruises’ strategic move to increase its presence on the Nile aligns with broader market trends favouring experiential travel and cultural immersion. By expanding their fleet and enhancing their itineraries, TUI positions itself as a leader in the river cruise market in Egypt.

The launch of TUI Bahareya is a strategic move to meet the rising demand for luxurious river cruises on the Nile. By providing culturally rich experiences and top-tier services, TUI River Cruises is well-positioned to captivate and expand its customer base.
