Windstar Cruises has unveiled plans to expand its South Pacific itineraries for 2026 onwards, responding to the growing demand for exotic travel experiences.

The cruise line will introduce shorter itineraries and new packages to enhance customer experiences with comprehensive travel solutions.

    Expansion of South Pacific Itineraries

Windstar has announced the extension of its South Pacific cruise itineraries for 2026 and 2027. This strategic move is aimed at meeting the increasing demand from travel enthusiasts. The company will introduce shorter itineraries spanning seven to 11 days and offer comprehensive air and hotel packages. Destinations for these voyages include Fiji, Tonga, the Cook Islands, Tahiti, the Society Islands, Tuamotus, and Marquesas.

    Enhanced Fleet Capabilities

The expansion will also feature the involvement of the Wind Star, one of the line’s renowned Wind Class ships that can accommodate 148 guests. Joining it in 2027 will be the larger Star Breeze, which has a capacity of 312 passengers. These enhancements will allow Windstar to provide more tailored and flexible travel experiences, catering to an array of preferences and travel styles.

    New Exciting Itineraries

In 2026, Windstar will offer an enticing selection of new itineraries, such as the 15-day Flowers of the South French Polynesia, and the 10 or 11-day Maori Storytellers & French Polynesian Treasures.

The seven-day Tantalising Tuamotu Islands & Beautiful Bora Bora and the 11-day Far Flung French Polynesia and Marquesas Magic are also among the additions. These itineraries promise cultural immersion and natural beauty, appealing to travellers eager to explore the richness of the region.

    Exclusive Packages and Offers

Windstar is introducing exclusive packages such as the Stars Over Bora Bora Air and Overwater Villa package. This 14-day offering includes return flights with Air Tahiti Nui from Seattle or Los Angeles, as well as luxury accommodation in Papeete and Bora Bora.

A pre-night stay in an overwater bungalow in Bora Bora is also included in the seven-day Dreams of Tahiti cruise. These packages represent the epitome of luxury travel, offering comfort and convenience to Windstar clients.

    Complimentary Onboard Amenities

To enhance the cruising experience, Windstar has unveiled an early booking offer for 2026 South Pacific cruises, which includes a comprehensive all-inclusive experience. Guests can enjoy Wi-Fi access, unlimited wine, beer, and cocktails, along with all gratuities covered.

Moreover, a $100 onboard credit per stateroom is offered, further enriching the journey by providing additional value and flexibility. These incentives highlight Windstar’s commitment to providing a superior travel experience.

    Leadership Insights

Christopher Prelog, President of Windstar, expressed his enthusiasm about the extended itineraries, particularly emphasising the exotic allure of Tahiti and the Marquesas Islands. He noted, “Tahiti is one of my favourite destinations on the planet…These new additions are a natural progression for us, as these faraway South Pacific islands exemplify the heart of Polynesian culture.”

Prelog underscored the logistical ease provided by Windstar’s offerings, enabling travellers to access remote destinations like Tonga and Taveuni without overwhelming local ecosystems and cultures.

    Strategic Development and Sustainable Tourism

The company emphasises its focus on sustainable tourism by ensuring its small-sized ships have minimal environmental impact, supporting ecological preservation in the destinations it visits.

Windstar’s expansion in the South Pacific represents a strategic alignment with market demands for luxury and sustainable travel.

With enhanced itineraries and exclusive offers, the company is set to elevate its presence in this picturesque region.
