BA offers Executive Club Bronze members priority boarding facility

British Airways (BA), the UK’s national carrier, has announced that it will offer its bronze tier level frequent flier programme members the advantage of fast-track priority boarding.

The provision will mean that, on all BA flights, Executive Club Bronze members can board immediately after First, Club World and Club Europe ticket holders.

The airline said that it has introduced the new strategy to add additional value for Bronze cardholders buying their tickets with BA, and also for Ruby cardholders, the equivalent Oneworld tier.

‘Given how much our premium customers value priority boarding, we’re delighted to offer this same privilege to our Bronze Executive Club members,’ said Frank van der Post, BA’s managing director of brands and customer experience, adding: ‘We believe it will give our Bronze cardholders greater recognition and encourage Executive Club loyalty, as well as give them a head start on every flight they make.’

Presently, the Bronze members have the advantage of avoiding airport queues by using Club World and Club Europe check-in desks, regardless of what class of ticket they buy, and can reserve seats on BA flights free of charge from seven days before departure. They also enjoy priority at baggage arrival service desks, have preferred seats allocated wherever possible when travelling on a fully flexible ticket, and have preferred special meals delivered on catered flights.

Bronze members can also collect Avios, the Executive Club currency, on all British Airways, Iberia, and partner flights including oneworld, as well as with the company’s worldwide network of hotel, car rental, financial and shopping partners. They receive 25 percent bonus Avios on all British Airways flights. Also, Bronze members need only 600 Tier Points and four qualifying flights, or 50 qualifying flights, to move up to Silver membership.
