British Airways, the UK based airline, will be offering a new instructional video for nervous flyers.

To be introduced on the airline’s in-flight entertainment system from September 1, 2012, the new film will explain the technical aspects of flying, have advice from psychologists, and will also showcase relaxation techniques. Specifically catering to nervous passengers, the film will offer explanations for the most common passenger concerns, including air turbulence, and other disturbances, as well as ways to deal with anxiety or a panic attack.

The airline is offering a preview clip of the video on its YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEPeDhkrSzY.

The airline representative, captain Steve Allright, a pilot on Boeing 747 aircraft, said, ‘The British Airways Flying with Confidence course has helped more than 45,000 people over the past 25 years.

I really hope that we can reach, and help even more people with this video – whether they’re flying for business or for their holidays.’

The video will be available on the British Airways Well Being channel, one of the entertainment options from the airline’s in-flight entertainment system.

The airline is also the official airline partner of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and is supporting those athletes and their families that are involved in 26 Olympic and 20 Paralympic sports, by providing complementary flights to train and compete abroad. The airline is also the partner of the British Olympic Association and British Paralympic Association.

The airline is hosting Park Live, an entertainment programme in an area of the 250-acre Olympic Park. Park Live can accommodate up to 10,000 visitors at any given time, with facilities watch broadcasts of continuous live action from the BBC and Channel 4 during the 2012 Paralympics Games.
