British Airways, the UK based airline company, has opened the new Park Live, an entertainment area and gathering space that is part of the 250-acre Olympic Park.

Park Live is set on the centre of the wetland bowl, and provides giant LED screens for audiences to follow all of the 2012 London Olympic action. The outdoor attraction can accommodate up to 10,000 visitors at any given time, and they can watch broadcasts of continuous live action from BBC during the Olympic games, and Channel 4 during the Paralympic Games.

The area will have plenty more on offer to entertain its visitors, with song and dance routines and prizes given during breaks. Park Live will also provide an ideal setting for a picnic or meeting place with friends and family. British Airways Hosts will be on hand to assist visiting guests with advice and information.

British Airways Park Live manager, Adam Juniper, said, ‘It’s great to see Park Live up and running so efficiently. It has been really important to get the presenters, the BA Hosts and our teams to come down here today and test everything in preparation for the tens of thousands of visitors we expect.’

The area is also equipped with an all-weather stage, and Park Live presenters; Matthew Lorenzo, Graham Rogers and Jo Pickard, will be there to offer live commentary and to interview the guests.
