UK low-fare regional carrier Flybe announced the launch of its 2015 Summer Schedule on March 29 from its newly re-opened base at Aberdeen, offering a choice of up to 75 flights a week on five key routes.

Flybe’s routes from Aberdeen include a daily service to Belfast City; the first summer of operation for Flybe’s three times a day service to London City; and multi-frequency flights to the Birmingham and Manchester hubs, enabling passengers to by-pass the crowded London airports and connect onwards to Dubai and Helsinki through its code-share partners, Etihad Airways and Finnair.

Paul Simmons, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: ‘Our newly re-opened base at Aberdeen marks the very real testament to Flybe’s year of recovery. I would again like to thank all parties involved for welcoming Flybe’s based operations back. We look forward to welcoming all our passengers on board this summer.’

Carol Benzie, Managing Director of Aberdeen Airport, added: ‘We’re delighted to welcome back Flybe as a base at the airport and look forward to continuing to work together to promote its regional offer from the North East.’

In November 2014, Flybe announced its plan to begin base operations from Bournemouth and launch a new limited programme of domestic flights from London Stansted in summer 2015.

At the time, Flybe said that it would also begin base operations at Bournemouth effective March 29, 2015, with up to ten brand new routes during summer 2015. The summer 2015 schedule will start with a new year-round, double daily service between Bournemouth and Glasgow, while from May 2015 flights to Amsterdam, Dublin, Jersey, Manchester and the French destinations of Paris, Deauville (Normandy) Toulon and Biarritz will be added.

Flybe will also offer a summer programme of 64 flights per week from London Stansted with year-round services to the Isle of Man (up to three flights a day) and double daily flights to Newcastle, in addition to seasonal part week summer flights to Newquay.
