The summer schedule for 2017 includes some of Monarch’s popular city breaks like Venice, Madrid and Lisbon as well as other summer destinations including the Algarve, Majorca, Malaga and the Canary Islands, the airport said in a release. The budget airline has released more than 90 per cent of its summer schedule – as on date, there are 22 routes to popular destinations available for booking from Birmingham Airport for summer 2017.

Marjan Schoeke, Head of Network Development for Monarch, said: ‘We know our customers like time to plan their holidays in advance and take advantage of the best fares. With flights for Summer 2017 now on sale this gives our customers a chance to book flights to their favourite destinations and get excited about next Summer’s holidays.’

Paul Kehoe, CEO of Birmingham Airport said: ‘It is great news that Monarch has put its Summer 2017 flights on sale from Birmingham Airport offering passengers the chance to book their Summer holidays for next year. With the choice of 22 routes covering Italy, the Canary Islands, Spain and Portugal passengers can plan ahead for some Summer sunshine.’

All Monarch holidays can be booked with a £59 deposit when booking 10 weeks or more in advance. Customers can also take advantage of Monarch’s Holiday Concierge service, it said.
