Ryanair, an Ireland-based low cost airline, has announced new flights, from Dublin and Derry, in Ireland, to London Gatwick Airport, in England, for the finals of Heineken Cup ruby competition.

The airline is offering 10 additional flights from London Gatwick Airport to Dublin, and two extra flights between Derry and London Gatwick, for the Heineken Cup final to be played on May 19, 2012, in London, between Ulster, a team that is Belfast based, and Leinster, from Dublin. The final match, which is the first ever to be played between teams from Ireland’s two provinces, will be played at Twickenham.

The Heineken Cup Final flights fares commence at £139 or €144 one-way, and the airline has advised all rugby fans to book in advance for the limited seats available at www.ryanair.com.

The company head of communications, Stephen McNamara, said, ‘Ryanair is delighted to schedule 12 extra flights to ensure Leinster and Ulster fans can get behind their teams when they meet in an historic ‘All-Ireland’ Heineken Cup Final on 19 May.

With two of our provinces in the final, it’s going to be a great day for Irish rugby and, win or lose, all Leinster and Ulster fans will be on to a winner with our guaranteed lowest fare flights. Available from just €144 and £139 one-way, they’re sure to sell out fast, so our advice is to book on www.ryanair.com today.’

The airline is offering the new flights in addition to its 30 daily flights between Dublin and London, and between Derry and London.
