    London City Airport Offers New Services to Basel and Isle of Man

    London City Airport, an Airport in the UK, will be offering new services to its customers in May 2012.

    Swiss International Airlines, based in Switzerland, has commenced a new service from London City Airport to EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg Airport in Basel, Switzerland, from May 21, 2012. The twice-daily flights are operating on weekdays, while a single daily flight is available at weekends. The airline also offers daily flights to Geneva and Zurich from London City Airport.

    While the service to Basel is priced from GBP56 one way on introductory flights in economy class, a Business Flex airfare is likely to be around GBP304 one way.

    The minimum fare is inclusive of a checked bag and a hand luggage item of a maximum 8 kg, while the most expensive fares are inclusive of a checked bag and two pieces of hand luggage of maximum 8kg each, and access to the airport lounge.

    British Airways is also offering a new service from the airport to the Isle of Man,  situated in the Irish Sea. The service commences from May 28, 2012, and includes a daily flight on weekdays. The service is expected to expand to three-times daily flights from London City Airport to the Isle of Man on weekdays, and daily flights on weekends, from June 25, 2012.

    The British Airways fares, commencing at GBP78.41 one way, are inclusive of complimentary online check-in and complimentary seat selection up to 24 hours before departure, as well as luggage allowance of 23kg in checked-in baggage, complimentary food and drinks onboard and zero fees on debit card usage.
