India is set to host another internationally acclaimed hotel brand, Fairmont.
Fairmont has made an announcement saying that it will open its Fairmont Jaipur location in India. Located in Rajastan, the launch will mark the company’s entry into the country.
Also known as the Pink City, Jaipur is the capital and largest city of Rajasthan and is well known for its impressive palaces, fortresses and ethnic and traditional culture. The 255-room hotel will adopt a traditional Mughal palace design. Rooms have been designed to merge modernity with the cultural characteristics of Jaipur.
The hotel company said that the facility would offer a number of restaurants and bars that would provide a range of flavours and tastes. Several restaurants will be available, including Zarin for Indian cuisine, an all-day dining restaurant, Zoya, a tea lounge, Anjum, and a Masala Chai (tea) station and a library bar, called Aza. There will also be a smoking room, Cigar Diwan.
The hotel has a 5,500 sq m meeting space for corporate needs, and a 1,300 sq m Willow Stream Spa. Guests can enjoy the cultural elements of Jaipur within the hotel or take guided tours of the city’s streets.
A spokesperson for the hotel said, ‘Jaipur offers not only a strong leisure product but the conference centre at our resort and other properties developing nearby will allow the city to capture the MICE and events market, which is a core competency of Fairmont. We believe India is well poised for healthy growth in both the luxury leisure and business travel markets.’
The hotel also said that it would make an introductory package called ‘seeing is believing’ available until October 31, 2012.
