The new luxurious Park Inn by Radisson Glasgow City Centre hotel is set to open in Glasgow, Scotland.

The 91-room hotel is owned by Belgium-based hotel company, Rezidor Hotel Group, and will be a member of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. The property is expected to open in early 2013, and will be the newest hotel from the brand, which already owns around 30 more hotels in the United Kingdom.

Kurt Ritter, the president and chief executive officer of Rezidor, said, ‘The United Kingdom is a key development region for our young and dynamic mid-market brand Park Inn by Radisson. We aim to grow the brand in the core market London, and in further primary locations such as Glasgow. Glasgow is a one of the most important markets in the UK.

Regarded as the industrial and commercial capital of Scotland, Glasgow benefits from a diverse economic base and is one of Europe’s largest financial centres and is also the second most popular tourism destination in Scotland after Edinburgh.’

The Park Inn by Radisson Glasgow City Centre is located in a converted office building, close to two of the city’s railway stations and the city centre, and will be offering an all-day dining restaurant; a lounge and bar; a gym; and around 200- square metres of meeting space.

Park Inn by Radisson was launched in the UK in 2006. The new hotel will increase the brand’s total portfolio in the UK to 5,400 rooms in operation and in the pipeline.
