Jet2holidays has recently unveiled plans to enhance its Bulgaria offering for Summer 2024 by introducing package holidays to the sought-after destination of Sozopol.

The decision comes in response to growing popularity of Bulgaria among holidaymakers, driven by its affordability and charm. As the UK’s largest tour operator, Jet2holidays is catering to this demand by launching holiday packages to the historic seaside town of Sozopol.

Bulgaria Air unveils exclusive offers on Sofia – London route

Bulgaria Air has announced an enticing promotion for travellers on the Sofia – London route, providing a special price for tickets during the winter season.

This promotion, valid from January 17 to February 17, 2024, aims to cater to those seeking winter getaways to Bulgaria’s resorts.

During this promotional period, passengers can avail themselves of one-way economy class tickets to Sofia at a cost of £89, and the return flight from Sofia to London for €69. These reduced prices, up to 35 percent off the regular winter fares, apply to travel until March 31, offering an affordable option for winter explorations.

The promotion extends beyond cost savings, providing additional perks for economy class travellers. Included in the ticket price are benefits such as one piece of hand luggage (up to 10kg), a handbag/laptop, delectable on-board catering, and free check-in.

Additionally, Bulgaria Air is now offering complimentary carriage of ski or snowboard equipment for tickets purchased during the promotional period. Each passenger is entitled to transport one set of ski or snowboard equipment, with a total size of up to 280 cm (length + height + width) and a weight limit of 23 kg. Furthermore, all applicable fuel and airport taxes are included in the ticket prices.

Jet2 increases services to Bulgaria for summer 2023

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, the UK-based leisure airline and package holiday company, have announced a large increase in its services to Bulgaria (Bourgas) for Summer 23, with more flights and holidays from four UK bases. In addition, Jet2holidays has also announced an expanded portfolio of hotels on sale to the popular destination for next summer.

The move comes as Bulgaria (Bourgas) has emerged as the second best value for money holiday hotspot according to the latest Post Office Holiday Money Report 2022. In response to this, Jet2 has added thousands of additional seats to Bulgaria (Bourgas) for Summer 23 with extra flights from Birmingham, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle International Airports.

The new services will operate during the peak summer holiday season from July to September.

Ideally timed for the school holidays, holidaymakers will have increased choices to access Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast, as well as the region’s top resorts, including Sunny Beach, Nessebar and St Vlas.

The expanded schedule includes additional Monday services from Birmingham, operating from July 24 to September 25 offering up to three-weekly flights during peak times; additional Monday services from Leeds Bradford operating from July 24 to August 28 offering up to two-weekly flights during peak times; additional Tuesday services from Manchester operating from July 25 to August 29 offering up to five-weekly flights during peak times, and additional Friday services from Newcastle International operating from July 28 to September 1 – on top of the existing Thursday services operating until September 28, offering up to three-weekly flights during peak times.

easyJet announces three routes from Bristol this winter

easyJet, the UK-based European regional airline, has announced three brand new routes from Bristol to Larnaca, Are Ostersund and Sofia.

The new routes are part of the 16 new routes easyJet has put on sale across the UK. Flights to Larnaca will take off from Bristol twice a week starting October 28. Bristol’s skiing and snowboarding passengers are offered a weekly route to Are Ostersund, starting from December 9, while the route to Sofia offer passengers a city break to the historic Bulgarian city, flying twice a week from December 8. The new routes come as the airline continues to expand in Bristol.

Fares to the destinations start from £30.74 for Bristol to Larnaca; from £36.70 for Bristol to Are Ostersund and from £38.72 for Bristol to Sofia. Tickets for these flights are on sale now at www.easyJet.com.

Wizz Air announces three Central and Eastern Europe routes from Birmingham

Wizz Air, one of the leading low-cost airlines in Central and Eastern Europe, has recently commenced three new routes from Birmingham Airport.

The Polish airline has added Sofia, Bucharest and Wroclaw to its list of low-fare destinations. With the addition of these routes, the airline now operates services to Poland, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary from Birmingham.

The service to the Polish city of Wroclaw, known as one of the largest urban squares in Poland – is operated twice a week from Birmingham Airport, with flights on Mondays and Fridays. Fares start from £15.49 one-way including taxes and non-optional charges.

The new service to the capital city of Sofia, the largest city of the Republic of Bulgaria, departs twice weekly on a Sunday and Wednesday allowing travellers and holidaymakers to explore the ancient city. Founded thousands of years ago, the city is Bulgaria’s cultural and economic centre. Seats with Wizz Air are on sale now with one-way fares from Birmingham Airport available starting £28.49.

UK travellers and tourists can now visit Bucharest, Romania’s capital city, twice a week from Birmingham. The bustling metropolis is popular among tourists for its tree-lined boulevards, architecture and many bars and restaurants. The route will depart Birmingham Airport on a Wednesday and Sunday. Fares start from £28.49 one-way including taxes and non-optional charges.
