easyJet announces week-long Black Friday sale

easyJet, and easyJet holidays – the European regional airline and holiday company – have announced their exclusive week-long Black Friday promotion, granting customers the opportunity to secure an affordable winter getaway.

The airline is presenting 100,000 seats priced below £20 for flights spanning its European network, valid for departures between December 11, 2023, and March 31, 2024.

Simultaneously, easyJet holidays introduces a Black Friday special, offering savings of up to £200 on all beach destinations and city breaks with the code BLACKFRIDAY, applicable to holidays until October 31, 2025. This discount is available for a minimum spend of £2000, with £200 savings and £100 savings for spends of £2000 and £800, respectively.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s country manager said: ‘We’re delighted to be launching a week-long Black Friday sale on flights and holidays today which will give customers the chance to book a great value holiday this winter. Our unrivalled network means customers have plenty of choice whether they’re looking for winter sun or to hit the slopes.’

The airline has introduced 27 new winter routes for the season, expanding choices with destinations like Akuyeri in Iceland, Cairo in Egypt, Rovaniemi, and Kittila in Finland, and Enfidha in Tunisia.

All easyJet holidays packages encompass flights, accommodations, 23kg luggage, and transfers for beach holidays, and are covered by Ultimate Flexibility, providing the liberty to modify bookings, a refund guarantee, and a price guarantee.

Discounted flights and holiday bookings are open until 11 pm on Monday, November 27.

British Airways offers 1,250 Avios-Only seats for next August

British Airways has unveiled a selection of 1,250 Avios-Only seats for August 2024, claiming that these tickets tend to sell out quickly.

This move encompasses sought-after holiday destinations like Corfu, Ibiza, Mallorca, and more, all perfectly timed for the August Bank Holiday. The initiative marks another stride in British Airways’ commitment to Avios-Only flights, which are exclusively available to British Airways Executive Club Members as Rewards Seats, with all seats dedicated to their use. The first Avios-Only flight, which sold out within 24 hours, is set to depart for Sharm El Sheikh from London Gatwick on November 3, 2023.

Expanding on existing options, the initiative introduces flights departing from London City Airport for the first time, offering travellers access to destinations such as Florence, Mallorca, Faro, Corfu, and Ibiza, all aligned with the August Bank Holiday period. With fares starting from £1 and 25,500 Avios, these seats are expected to sell out rapidly.

Booking these Avios-Only seats follows the same process as reserving regular Reward Seats. British Airways American Express Credit Cardholders can use Companion Vouchers, allowing them to secure a second seat for just the taxes and charges or a single seat for half the Avios cost.

This announcement precedes changes to how customers collect Avios, effective from October 18, 2023. Members will earn Avios based on ticket cost rather than flight distance, resulting in a projected 20 percent increase in Avios issuance to the overall member base, benefiting most members.

The British Airways Executive Club offers a free rewards programme for travel enthusiasts, utilising Avios as its currency. Avios can be accumulated through various means, including flying with BA or its partner airlines, taking vacations, making purchases with over 1,500 retailers via British Airways at shopping.ba.com, or through everyday spending with partners like American Express, Nectar, Avis Budget Group, and Marriott.

Members can also accrue Tier Points on British Airways and oneworld(R) partner flights, unlocking exclusive benefits as they progress through the Tiers: Blue, Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

Jet2 announces record Summer 2024 sale from all ten UK bases

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, the UK-based leisure airline and holiday company, have announced that their Summer Sun programme is early and now on sale for 2024 from all ten UK bases, with it becoming the first airline and tour operator to put Summer 2024 on sale.

Flights and holidays are now available for 2024 from Birmingham, Manchester and London Stansted, after the launch of the programme from Belfast International, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford and Newcastle International last week.

With 46 summer sun destinations on sale from across the ten UK bases, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are offering further choice to destinations such as the Canaries, Balearics, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Cyprus, Croatia, and Portugal.

Jet2’s Summer Sun programme represents more than 15 million seats on sale for 2024 and 346 routes, including nine brand-new routes. Jet2.com and Jet2holidays announce Summer 2023 sale

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has announced that its Summer Sun programmes are now on sale for 2023 from all ten UK bases, after its Leeds Bradford programme were put on sale.

With 41 summer sun destinations going on sale from Leeds Bradford Airport, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays is offering access to many destinations in the Canaries, Balearics, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Cyprus, Croatia, and Portugal from across its ten UK bases. The announcement comes as Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has started releasing schedules to meet huge pent-up demand as travel restrictions were easing.

Jet2 will fly more than 1,350 weekly flights from 10 bases during peak times in Summer 2023. The programme includes over 200 weekly flights to the Canary Islands, over 200 weekly flights to the Balearic Islands, over 250 weekly flights to 14 Greek destinations and over 180 weekly flights to Turkey during peak times.

Ryanair announces Summer 2022 schedule at East Midlands, Winter Sun seat sale

Ryanair has announced its Summer 2022 schedule from East Midlands Airport with over 30 routes and 130 weekly flights across 31 European destinations from April.

With the new schedule, UK families and travellers can now book a summer holiday to European hotspots such as Alicante, Barcelona, Lanzarote, Malaga, Mallorca, Rhodes and Tenerife, among others. Alongside the announcement, Ryanair has launched a £19.99 seat sale for travel until the end of October 2022, which must be booked by midnight Saturday, November 6. Tickets are available to book at www.ryanair.com.

Ryanair’s Director of Commercial, Jason McGuinness, said: ‘As Europe’s No.1 airline, we are pleased to extend our partnership with East Midlands Airport and announce our Summer 2022 schedule, connecting UK families to a host of European hotspots for their much deserved Summer 2022 holiday.

While Ryanair welcomes the UK Govt’s decision to reduce domestic APD from Summer 2023, it is neither sufficient nor timely enough to kickstart the UK’s tourism recovery, particularly for Summer 2022. British Airways announces flight and holiday sale for travel until summer 2022

British Airways and British Airways Holidays have announced a sale, with price reductions made across a range of flights and holidays until summer 2022.

The sale is running until September 21, 2021. The announcement comes as British Airways Holidays announces the extension of its VIP airport offer, which is now available on travel up until March 31, 2022. Every customer spending a minimum of £1,500pp on holiday packages for a minimum of five nights will automatically qualify for Galleries Club Lounge access, premium check-in, Fast Track Security and priority boarding if departing from London Heathrow Terminal 5. This offer also applies to those bookings that have already been made. Return British Airways flights available in the sale include Dubai from £299, New York from £329, San Francisco from £348 and Miami from £339.

With the new holiday packages (flight + hotel) from British Airways Holidays, tourists can enjoy seven nights in Orlando from £439pp or three nights in New York from £429pp. Seven-night Caribbean holidays are available to Barbados from £579pp and Mauritius from £649pp. In addition, seven-night European destinations such as Mallorca are available from £199pp, Malta from £199pp and Madeira from £229pp. Those jetting off to Dubai can enjoy three nights from £379pp.
