Jet2.com and Jet2holidays expands Summer 22 capacity from Manchester Airport

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, the UK’s largest tour operator to many leisure destinations across the Mediterranean and Canary Islands, has announced the addition of more choice to several sunshine destinations from Manchester Airport following continued demand for Summer 22 flights and holidays.

With customers looking to book their Summer 22 holidays following the removal of testing and travel restrictions by both the UK and overseas Governments, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have added more capacity to the Balearic Islands (Majorca and Ibiza) and Santorini, as well as one of their brand-new destinations for Summer 22 – Sardinia.

The additional flights added include Sardinia – a brand-new destination for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays this summer – operating every Saturday from July 23 to September 24 giving holidaymakers the choice of two weekly departures to this Italian hotspot; and additional Saturday and Sunday services to Ibiza, operating between July 23 and September 25, offering up to three services each day over the weekend, on top of up to 16 weekly services.

Jet2 has also announced additional Thursday services to Majorca, operating between July 21 and September 22 offering up to 27 weekly departures, including up to five services on a Thursday; and to Santorini operating additional Sunday services between July 24 and September 25, offering up to four weekly services for Summer 22.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: ‘Over the past couple of years we have always maintained that demand will come roaring back once customers start to see travel returning to normal. That is really proving to be the case, with all seasons and all types of holiday looking extremely popular. Summer 22 is the long-awaited moment when everyone can all finally enjoy a normal summer holiday once again, and our customers are flocking to get that sunshine booked in.’

He added: ‘As always, we will be responding to demand by adding more flights and holidays, such as the additional capacity we are announcing to Sardinia, Santorini, Majorca and Ibiza today. Although we always look to give our customers unrivalled choice and flexibility, this strong demand coupled with holidaymakers looking to really treat themselves this summer, could make things look a little different this year. For instance, with holidaymakers acting quickly to book the best rooms, hotels and destinations, the late deal could well become harder to find as the year progresses.’
