Audley Travel is set to transform its offerings with the launch of a dedicated cruise division, aiming to broaden its reach in the UK and US markets. This expansion demonstrates a commitment to enhancing the breadth of holiday experiences available to clients.

Audley Travel has appointed Sean Atton, an industry veteran, to lead its new cruise division. Atton brings extensive experience having transitioned from Trailfinders where he contributed to product and sales for over 16 years. His strategic vision is expected to expand Audley’s reach in the cruise market significantly.

Audley already has a presence in the expedition cruise market, catering to clients seeking adventurous trips in Alaska and Canada. The new division aims to integrate these offerings into broader, tailor-made itineraries.

The sales strategy will involve a specialized team trained to handle cruise inquiries, offering clients an enriched holiday experience by integrating cruises with land-based excursions.

The integration with trade partners is seen as a progressive step in enhancing Audley’s position in the cruise sector. The company intends to bring these partnerships to fruition after the main launch phase.

Audley’s decision to offer diversified cruise options is timely, especially with the increasing interest in luxury travel despite prevailing economic challenges. This trend underscores the persistent demand for high-quality, unique travel experiences.

The introduction of the cruise division to the US market marks a new venture for Audley, promising substantial growth. Atton notes the positive reception from the US market, anticipating it to be a fertile ground for expanding their cruise offerings.

The travel industry is witnessing robust growth from countries like India, Canada, Japan, and South Africa, alongside the US. Despite economic challenges, there remains a strong demand for luxury travel options, indicating favourable conditions for Audley’s cruise expansion.
