Dnata Travel Group UK has announced the appointment of Henry Sunley as the managing director of Travel Republic, alongside his role at Netflights.

The new appointment is expected to drive strategic growth and elevate customer experiences across both brands.

Henry Sunley has been appointed as the new managing director of Travel Republic. This appointment follows the departure of Antonio Fellino, who is now an advisor in ecommerce and digital strategies for the Saudi Tourism Authority. Sunley will concurrently maintain his role as managing director for Netflights, a position he has held since 2020. He brings a wealth of industry expertise, having spent nearly two decades at Thomas Cook prior to joining the dnata brand.

In assuming his new dual role, Sunley is expected to drive ambitious growth plans for Travel Republic. “I’m really privileged to be taking on the position of managing director of Travel Republic alongside my role within Netflights,” Sunley remarked. His extensive experience in travel and online platforms is anticipated to be instrumental in achieving these objectives. Sunley’s appointment symbolises a strategic alignment aimed at leveraging synergies between Travel Republic and Netflights.

Sunley will report directly to Lesley Rollo, who was recently appointed chief executive of dnata Travel Group UK. This alignment underscores a robust leadership structure designed to foster innovation and growth across both brands. Rollo has expressed confidence in Sunley’s ability to cultivate a customer-centric culture within Travel Republic, similar to what he achieved at Netflights. “Henry has created a great culture in Netflights, focusing on delivering an exceptional customer experience,” Rollo stated.

Antonio Fellino’s departure marks a significant transition for Travel Republic, yet it is seen as a positive step towards future growth. Fellino played a crucial role in enhancing Travel Republic’s platform for UK travellers. With Sunley at the helm, there is an expectation of continued innovation and service enhancement. The business is poised for success, guided by Sunley’s strategic vision and leadership. The focus will be on expanding offerings and improving customer engagement.

The dnata Travel Group UK extends its gratitude to Antonio Fellino for his contributions. Rollo commented, “We would like to thank Antonio for his instrumental role in Travel Republic’s growth and enhancements.” His leadership set the foundation for the brand’s current trajectory, ensuring its competitive edge in the online travel market. Fellino’s legacy will undoubtedly influence ongoing strategies under Sunley’s guidance.

As Sunley begins this new chapter, his dual role offers exciting opportunities for synergy and growth. His leadership is expected to foster a culture of excellence within the organisation. Stakeholders are eager to see the impact of this strategic leadership shift, which aims to enhance operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction. The combined strengths of Travel Republic and Netflights are anticipated to offer unparalleled service to customers.

With Henry Sunley assuming leadership at Travel Republic, the company is poised for a new era of growth and excellence.

His extensive experience in the travel sector is set to bring innovative solutions and enhance customer offerings.
