Leger Holidays launches an extensive battlefield tours brochure, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. This comprehensive guide highlights tours available through 2026.

With a focus on historical significance and expert guidance, the brochure invites travellers to explore pivotal locations across various global conflicts. Its release is set to spark significant interest among history enthusiasts and travel agents.

Leger Holidays has announced the release of a special battlefield tours brochure, which will be available to travel agents from early June. This launch coincides with the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. The brochure is extensively detailed, covering numerous tours, and is available in both print and digital formats. Its tagline, ‘Walk in the Footsteps of Heroes’, aims to draw attention to the heroic efforts commemorated by these tours.

Each tour is guided by a specialist battlefield guide and includes coach travel from the UK and B&B accommodation. Some tours offer the convenience of air travel options. Starting from £399, the All Quiet on the Western Front tour provides an intro to WWI battlefields, visiting historical sites like Ypres and Somme.

According to Ashley Dellow, the head of retail sales, interest in military history and family heritage drives tour bookings. Significant anniversaries like D-Day also spurt interest. Agents are advised to prepare for increased enquiries following expected media coverage.

Until mid-July, travel agents can offer a £50 per person low deposit on battlefield coach tours. This promotional strategy is expected to bolster interest and bookings, providing financial incentives to customers.

Pictorial representations, such as the American military cemetery in Normandy, enhance the evocative nature of these tours, serving as poignant reminders of history.

As media coverage of D-Day commemorations intensifies, agents should anticipate heightened interest and be proactive in their sales approach. This strategic readiness is essential for capitalising on the unique selling opportunities presented by these historical anniversaries.

The Leger Holidays brochure not only marks a tribute to past sacrifices but also offers a commercial opportunity for agents and customers alike.

The newly launched brochure by Leger Holidays serves both as a tribute to the past and a valuable resource for the present. As interest in historical tours grows, the brochure is poised to enhance understanding and engagement with military history.

Agents and travellers are encouraged to utilise this guide to explore diverse historical narratives and reflect on the profound events that shaped our world.
