Regent Seven Seas has introduced an innovative training programme aimed at enhancing travel agents’ knowledge and selling capabilities in the luxury cruise market.

This initiative, known as the ‘RSSC University,’ is designed to equip agents with the skills required to distinguish Regent from other cruise lines through a structured and immersive learning experience.

The newly launched Regent Elevate programme is setting a benchmark in agent education. By providing a detailed understanding of Regent’s unique offerings, it aims to empower travel agents and distinguish Regent in a competitive market.

Caroline Smith, Regent’s International Managing Director, emphasises the importance of this educational investment. “The Elevate programme takes agent support to another level,” she states, highlighting its depth and comprehensive nature.

The curriculum of ‘RSSC University’ spans various levels, starting from an introduction to Regent’s brand essentials.

More advanced courses delve into complex aspects such as land programme add-ons and culinary offerings, ensuring agents are well-prepared to meet diverse customer needs.

Courses are structured into core, elective, and graduate stages, each offering increasing levels of detail and specialisation.

Upon completion of each stage, agents achieve certifications, progressing from ‘associate’ to ‘bachelor’ and finally ‘master.’ This structure fosters continuous professional development.

Paul Beale, Regent’s Vice-President of UK Sales, notes, “This is a milestone in our commitment to agent education and support.”

To motivate agents, Regent has introduced financial incentives. Agents can earn £300 upon achieving ‘master’ status and securing a booking within 100 days.

This initiative not only enhances agent motivation but also directly contributes to business growth by encouraging proactive engagement.

Regent prioritises agents by supplying extensive resources, including webinars, cheat sheets, and toolkits, making the learning process streamlined and efficient.

Caroline Smith remarks on the programme’s extensive nature, “It provides agents with everything they need to excel.”

Regent’s strategy reflects a deep understanding of agent needs, ensuring they are well-equipped to represent luxury cruise offerings effectively.

The RSSC University not only imparts knowledge but also celebrates agent achievements, reinforcing positive outcomes.

The dual focus on education and recognition underscores Regent’s dedication to its travel partners.

The Regent Elevate programme represents a significant advancement in the support offered to travel agents, combining comprehensive training with incentives to drive business.

Through the strategic investment in agent education, Regent Seven Seas fortifies its position in the luxury cruise sector, highlighting a commitment to excellence and partnership.
