Riviera Travel is set to launch its most extensive range of solo cruises for the 2024-25 season. This new collection features 12 itineraries, expanding from the existing nine, and promises enriching experiences for independent travellers.

The introduction of these cruises follows a remarkable response from solo travellers. Offering routes such as the Danube’s Imperial Cities and an eight-day tour of Bruges and Amsterdam, these cruises provide insight into some of Europe’s most captivating destinations.

Riviera Travel’s decision to expand its solo cruise offerings stems from a burgeoning demand for independent travel experiences. According to Will Sarson, head of product, the current range saw an ‘incredible’ response, signalling a growing trend among solo travellers. This trend is reshaping the landscape of travel, with more operators recognising the value in catering to solo adventurers. As societal norms evolve, the inclination towards self-exploration and personal adventures has strengthened.

The five-day Enchanting Rhine Yuletide Markets, starting at £1,599, is another exciting option, visiting destinations like Rüdesheim, Koblenz, Bonn, and Cologne. These cruises are meticulously planned to provide solo travellers with a harmonious blend of culture, history, and leisure. The itineraries highlight the beauty of the regions visited, ensuring passengers gain profound insights into each locale.

Also featured is the 19-day Grand Cruise of the Moselle, Rhine, Luxembourg & Switzerland, starting at £4,949. This journey offers a diverse itinerary that combines visits to iconic cities and serene landscapes. Each port of call is selected to provide a balance of exploration and relaxation, ensuring a fulfilling travel experience. The combination cruises present an innovative approach to river cruising, expanding the horizons of what travelers can explore.

Travellers can look forward to experiencing the unique charm of Europe’s festive markets on the Danube and Rhine, as well as the beauty of locations like Antwerp and Arnhem. The itineraries are carefully curated to align with the interests and preferences of solo travellers, creating memorable journeys tailored to individual desires.

Each itinerary offers opportunities for social interaction, ensuring that solo travellers do not feel isolated. Whether it is through organised group activities or shared dining experiences, the cruises foster connections among passengers. This approach enhances the overall experience, making sure that solo travel does not equate to loneliness.

The introduction of these extensive cruise options signifies Riviera Travel’s ongoing dedication to innovation and excellence in the travel industry. By offering diverse itineraries and maintaining exceptional standards, Riviera Travel positions itself as a leader in solo travel experiences.

Cruises are available for booking from February 29, with departures scheduled between December of this year and December 2025. This wide timeframe allows travellers flexibility in planning their voyages, accommodating different schedules and preferences. Early booking is encouraged to secure a spot on these popular itineraries.

Riviera Travel’s expanded solo cruise offerings for 2024-25 reflect a commitment to enhancing independent travel experiences. With a variety of itineraries and a focus on quality service, the operator caters adeptly to solo adventurers. As demand for such journeys grows, Riviera Travel continues to lead in providing enriching and tailored travel solutions.
