Specialist operator Anzcro is on the verge of revitalising its agent familiarisation (fam) trip to Western Australia after a considerable pause exceeding five years. This noteworthy journey, slated for November, is the product of a collaboration involving Tourism WA and Qantas, ready to accommodate eight travel agents. The trip promises an insightful journey into the unique offerings of Western Australia, delivering an authentic taste of the region’s stunning landscapes and rich cultural tapestry.
The agents will be neatly divided into two distinctive groups for this exploratory trip. The first group will embark on a journey northwards from Perth, covering renowned spots like the Pinnacles, Kalbarri, and Monkey Mia. Meanwhile, the second group is set to uncover the delights of the southern region, including the surf beaches and renowned wineries around Margaret River, along with engaging encounters with the local wildlife.
Both groups will converge for an exclusive experience with the marsupials known as quokkas on Rottnest Island. Alongside this, they will traverse Perth and Fremantle, sampling the diverse culinary scene these areas have to offer. Shubhra Halliday, Anzcro’s sales director, emphasised, “We are thrilled to partner with Qantas and Tourism WA, offering agents a chance to experience the magic of Western Australia’s natural wonders and its rich cultural heritage.”
Addressing the ambitions beyond this fam trip, Anzcro aims to initiate annual trips in conjunction with airline and tourist board partners. Halliday asserted their intent saying, “As we develop, we want to educate our travel partners on our destinations.” Such initiatives are poised to enrich agents’ understanding of the destination, thereby enhancing their capability to promote it effectively.
Travel agents from the UK looking to seize this opportunity must engage in specific prerequisites to secure their place. They are required to attend one of the three structured webinars, partake in an in-person training session held in London, or make a qualifying booking by the stipulated deadline of September 30, 2024, which includes a minimum two-night stay in Western Australia. Success in any of these activities provides a spot in the trip, alongside a rewarding incentive of an additional £100 Amazon voucher for those who book an Anzcro holiday which includes Western Australia.
Anzcro’s initiative marks a significant step in reconnecting UK travel agents with the wonders of Western Australia, fostering educational engagement and experiential learning.
