Embratur, the Brazilian Agency for International Tourism Promotion, has launched an exclusive platform to support travel agents and tour operators in expanding sales of Brazilian destinations. The new Brasil Travel Specialist platform, launched on January 23, 2025, serves as a key resource for travel professionals to better assist their clients with up-to-date, detailed information on Brazilian destinations, attractions, and sustainable travel experiences.

This initiative aims to meet the growing global demand for authentic travel experiences and strengthen Brazil’s international tourism market. Travel agents who register on the platform by March 2025 will have the chance to win trips with LATAM Airlines, further encouraging professionals to become specialists in Brazilian tourism.

The Brasil Travel Specialist platform provides travel agents with all the tools they need to become experts on Brazil, making it easier to promote and sell the country’s unique experiences to international travelers.

By registering on the platform, the tourism trade from all over the world can become an expert in Brazil: stay up to date with news about Brazilian destinations and experiences, take personalised training and have access to unique materials for travel agents and operators. The content is also available in the palm of your hand, with an app for IOS and Android.

“Brazil is one of the most fascinating destinations in the world, with a unique biodiversity and unparalleled cultural experiences. With Brasil Travel Specialist, we will create ambassadors for Brazil in every corner of the world. We want travel agents to have the tools and knowledge necessary to inspire tourists to experience the transformative experiences that our country has to offer”, says Marcelo Freixo, president of the Brazilian Agency for International Tourism Promotion (Embratur).

The platform was presented by the Embratur (Brazilian Agency for International Tourism Promotion) team during Brazil’s participation at FITUR 2025, in Madrid. The launch was carried out in partnership with LATAM Airlines, which will offer three trips to iconic destinations in Brazil: Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and Manaus. All those who register on the platform by March 2025 will be entered into a draw to win tickets.

The partnership with one of the companies that most connects the world to Brazil reflects the commitment to providing real and unforgettable experiences to travel agents, allowing them to experience first-hand the richness and diversity of the country.

Strategic tool for the international market

Brasil Travel Specialist was designed to facilitate communication with the tourism trade and train agents to increase the promotion of Brazil as a destination in strategic international markets. Through resources such as immersive videos, presentations, promotional materials and constant updates, the platform ensures that tourism professionals are always well informed and ready to serve their clients with excellence.

Another highlight is the accessibility and interactivity of the tool, which allows travel agents to customise their learning journey according to the interests and needs of their clients. Whether promoting an ecotourism itinerary in the Amazon, a cultural immersion in Salvador or a luxurious experience in Rio de Janeiro, the platform enables professionals to offer unforgettable and personalized trips.

    Rich content and exclusive benefits

All content is structured in modules that present the most iconic destinations in Brazil, such as Foz do Iguaçu, Salvador and Rio de Janeiro, as well as biomes such as the Amazon and the Pantanal. Participants have access to detailed information on how to get there, the main attractions, tourist infrastructure and practical tips for customising itineraries.

To meet the needs of different types of travellers, the course also explores specific segments in depth, such as ecotourism, adventure tourism, birdwatching, luxury tourism and cultural experiences. When starting their training, travel agents will also be able to select the Brazilian destinations that best suit their clients’ profiles, promoting personalised and memorable experiences.

After completing the training, participants receive a certificate that recognises them as experts in Brazilian destinations, adding value to their professional performance and strengthening their competitiveness in the market. Certified travel agents will also have access to exclusive benefits, such as the possibility of participating in famtours – familiarisation trips organized by Embratur – to personally experience the unforgettable experiences that Brazilian destinations provide.

Embratur expects that approximately 3,500 professionals will be trained in the first year of the initiative. This is a tool with great capillarity, which reaches markets digitally, since the training can be carried out from anywhere in the world, reaching a large number of agents.
