    Liverpool set for 2024 UKinbound convention

    Liverpool has secured the prestigious 2024 UKinbound convention, marking a significant win for the city in a competitive selection process. The event, themed ‘Future-Proofing’, is anticipated to draw over 350 delegates, showcasing Liverpool’s vibrant offerings.

    • Marketing Liverpool played a pivotal role in winning the bid, displaying passion and creativity in their proposal.
    • Chief executive Joss Croft expressed enthusiasm in collaborating with Visit Liverpool to deliver an engaging and sustainable event.
    • Susan Finnegan, head of visitor economy, highlighted the opportunity to exhibit Liverpool’s best to international delegates.

    Liverpool is poised to host the 2024 UKinbound convention with its theme focused on ‘Future-Proofing’. The city’s successful bid was the result of Marketing Liverpool’s strategic and creative efforts, securing this significant event from a competitive pool of contenders. The convention is expected to attract over 350 delegates from various sectors of the inbound tourism industry, thereby placing Liverpool at the forefront of the tourism conversation.

    Scheduled for September 25-26, the event will be held in St George’s Hall, a historic and central venue in Liverpool. This location not only provides a grand setting for the proceedings but also places delegates in the heart of the city’s vibrant culture and heritage.

    Marketing Liverpool’s proactive approach in the tendering process was instrumental in securing the event. Joss Croft, the chief executive, emphasised the exhilarating collaboration with Visit Liverpool to craft what is set to be both an exciting and environmentally conscious convention. The event will include a variety of familiarisation trips, allowing delegates to experience the renowned hospitality and cultural vibrancy of Liverpool first-hand.

    Liverpool’s hosting of the UKinbound convention underscores its growing prominence as a leading destination for future-focused tourism events.
