Royal Caribbean International is set to enhance its fleet with the new ‘Star of the Seas’. This newest addition promises to elevate travel experiences, much like its predecessor, ‘Icon of the Seas’. The vessel will embark on weekly Caribbean cruises starting August 2025. Some sailings have faced delays, but anticipation remains high for its innovative features.

    • The ‘Star of the Seas’, accommodating 5,610 passengers, will embody numerous features akin to ‘Icon of the Seas’.
    • Seven-day Caribbean excursions will be launched from Port Canaveral, Florida, enhancing East Coast holiday options.
    • Despite cancellations of two earlier scheduled voyages due to delivery delays, the ship remains on track for its inaugural journey.
    • Enhancements from its predecessor include a novel 1930s Chicago-themed Lincoln Park Supper Club, replacing the Empire Supper Club.

Royal Caribbean International is poised to welcome the ‘Star of the Seas’ to its fleet. This modern marvel is expected to bring a significant boost to the company’s offerings, much like the ‘Icon of the Seas’ did when it was launched earlier. With a capacity to accommodate 5,610 passengers, the ‘Star of the Seas’ mirrors many features from its sister ship, yet introduces its unique charm through thoughtful enhancements.

Beginning August 31, 2025, ‘Star of the Seas’ will set sail on seven-day cruises through the picturesque Caribbean waters. Departing from Port Canaveral, Florida, the ship provides an appealing option for vacationers looking for an all-encompassing travel experience. This strategic choice of departure point underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing its presence along the East Coast of the United States.

While initially, two sailings were cancelled owing to anticipated delivery delays, Royal Caribbean has reaffirmed its promise by ensuring the vessel is on course for its launch. Such delays have not dampened the excitement surrounding the ship, as the market eagerly awaits the new experiences and innovative amenities on board.

One of the notable upgrades is the introduction of the Lincoln Park Supper Club, which draws inspiration from 1930s Chicago, replacing the traditional Empire Supper Club. This addition is a testament to the brand’s inclination towards innovation while retaining a touch of nostalgia, promising a unique dining experience for its guests.

Further enhancing the onboard experience are amenities such as six waterslides, seven pools, and eight distinctive neighbourhoods. With over 40 dining and drinking venues distributed across its 20 decks, ‘Star of the Seas’ ensures a rich and varied environment for every traveller. The vessel not only embodies luxury but also inclusivity, effectively catering to a broad demographic by combining resort-like facilities with theme park adventures.

Setting sail in August 2025, the ‘Star of the Seas’ promises an unparalleled vacation experience, fulfilling Royal Caribbean’s vision of creating a ‘best of all vacations’ offering.
