Tui UK & Ireland unveils plans for educational trips, targeting 200 independent agents under the ‘Tui Wanderlust’ initiative.

    • Fourteen educational trips scheduled for 2024, offering diverse travel experiences.
    • Agents to gain practical understanding of Tui concepts and customer journeys.
    • Program designed to provide in-depth immersive experiences over mere hotel visits.
    • Expert-led trips to ensure thorough training and knowledge acquisition for agents.

Tui UK & Ireland has embarked on an ambitious endeavour to enhance the knowledge and expertise of independent agents through the ‘Tui Wanderlust’ initiative. With 14 confirmed trips for 2024, Tui aims to provide these agents with invaluable experiences across various travel options including Marella cruises, Crystal Ski Holidays, Tui Lakes and Mountains trips, and major Tui beach destinations.

The initiative emphasises the importance of practical and immersive learning over traditional informational sessions. By focusing on fewer hotel visits, Tui ensures that agents can fully engage with the concepts and unique features that define a Tui holiday, thus equipping them with the insights necessary to provide exceptional service to their clients.

According to Neil Swanson, chief marketing officer for Tui UK & Ireland, ‘Our aim is to foster a comprehensive understanding among agents, showing the reasons behind our customers’ loyalty and repeated visits to our hotels.’ This statement underscores the commitment to aligning agent experiences closely with those of the end customers, thereby enhancing agents’ ability to match their clients with suitable travel options.

Each trip is designed to mirror the customer experience, facilitated by Tui experts who are on hand to train the agents in situ. These experts provide detailed knowledge about hotel types and destinations, ensuring that agents return with the ability to offer personalised recommendations and insights to their clientele.

The programme’s focus on experiential learning is part of a broader strategy to boost trade sales and reinforce Tui’s market position. This approach not only benefits the agents in terms of skill development but also aims at fostering stronger partnerships and loyalty within the travel industry.

The ‘Tui Wanderlust’ initiative is set to redefine educational travel, equipping independent agents with the tools to enhance customer satisfaction and sales efficacy.
