Travelmarvel, a prominent name in the world of river cruises and tours, is set to expand its small-ship programme to Greece, starting in May 2025.

This strategic expansion includes new itineraries that will take travellers through the Cyclades and Dodecanese islands, offering both well-known and less-travelled destinations.

    Expansion of Small-Ship Programme

Travelmarvel, a four-star brand of river cruise and touring specialist APT, has announced a significant expansion of its small-ship programme into Greece for 2025. This strategic move reflects the company’s commitment to diversifying its offerings and enhancing customer experience. The programme includes two sailings of Travelmarvel’s eight-day Greek Island Explorer cruise set to commence in May 2025.

The recently renovated MV Belle de l’Adriatique will facilitate these sailings, offering passengers a unique exploration of the Cyclades and Dodecanese islands. Ports of call will include prominent destinations such as Athens, Rhodes, and Santorini, as well as the lesser-known islands of Syros, Milos, and Amorgos.

    New Itineraries and Destinations

In addition to the Greek Island Explorer cruise, Travelmarvel is introducing an extended 13-day Authentic Greece itinerary. This itinerary combines a week-long small-ship cruise with a comprehensive five-day tour of the mainland.

Key mainland destinations on this itinerary include Thermopylae, Kalambaka, Delphi, Nafplion, and Mycenae. This extension allows passengers to gain a deeper understanding of Greece’s rich history and culture, further enhancing the travel experience.

    Leadership Insights

Brad Bennetts, head of sales and business development for APT & Travelmarvel, expressed his enthusiasm about the expansion: “Following the incredible reception of our inaugural Small Ship and Yachting programme, we have been working to expand the range of destinations and experiences that our guests can enjoy.”

Bennetts also highlighted the popularity of island cruising in Croatia, noting, “Island cruising in Croatia remains one of our most popular products, and our guests tell us that accessing the smaller and more authentic ports is an important way for them to see the ‘real’ destination.”

He concluded by emphasising the allure of the Greek islands: “The islands of Greece are the perfect addition to the portfolio, combining fascinating local culture, rich ancient history, and delicious food & wine, with some of the world’s best and most beautiful cruising.”

    Guest Experience Enhancements

The introduction of these new itineraries aims to deliver enriched and unique guest experiences. Passengers will have the opportunity to explore both well-known and hidden gems of Greece, experiencing the country in a more intimate and in-depth manner.

The cruises are designed to cater to those seeking a combination of luxury, culture, and adventure, providing an unrivalled travel experience. By targeting smaller ports and less frequented destinations, Travelmarvel ensures a more personalised and less crowded journey.

    Economic and Cultural Impact

The expansion of Travelmarvel’s small-ship programme to Greece is expected to bring economic benefits to the local communities by promoting tourism in less crowded areas.

The focus on lesser-known islands and mainland sites also highlights Greece’s cultural heritage, offering travellers insights into the diverse historical landscape of the region. This approach not only benefits the travellers but also fosters a deeper appreciation and understanding of Greek traditions and history.

    Future Prospects and Enhancements

Looking ahead, Travelmarvel plans to continue expanding its destinations and itineraries, with a focus on unique and enriching travel experiences.

Future enhancements will include additional routes and possibly new destinations that align with the company’s commitment to providing high-quality, immersive travel experiences. This continuous innovation ensures that Travelmarvel remains a leader in the small-ship cruising market.

In conclusion, the expansion into Greece marks a significant milestone for Travelmarvel, promising to deliver unforgettable experiences and supporting sustainable tourism.

The expansion of Travelmarvel’s small-ship programme to Greece is a well-calculated move that promises a blend of luxury, cultural immersion, and adventure.

By introducing new itineraries and focusing on both popular and hidden gems, Travelmarvel aims to enrich the travel experience and support sustainable tourism in the region.
