Carnival Cruise Line has revealed its largest ship visit programme in the UK, targeting engagement with travel agents nationwide.

The initiative seeks to strengthen partnerships and provide agents with a deeper understanding of the Carnival Legend’s offerings.

    Carnival’s Ambitious Ship Visit Programme

Carnival Cruise Line has launched its most extensive UK ship visit programme to date, involving seven key port locations. Nearly 350 travel agents will have the opportunity to explore the Carnival Legend, with the objective of enhancing industry partnerships. These visits are part of Carnival’s strategy to bolster support from travel agents, whom they consider vital to the cruise industry’s success.

    Exclusive Onboard Experience

During the ship visits, agents will enjoy a guided tour of the Carnival Legend, complemented by a lunch on the Lido deck. This lunch will feature a variety of beverages including wine, beer, and soft drinks, ensuring a hospitable and welcoming atmosphere. Participants will gain firsthand knowledge about the services and amenities the ship offers, enhancing their ability to inform future clientele.

    Significance of Travel Agents

Travel agents are deemed essential by Carnival Cruise Line, as reiterated by Iain Baillie, the international sales vice-president. He stated that agents are the “cornerstone of our industry,” highlighting Carnival’s commitment to nurturing these relationships. The programme underscores the mutual benefits of educating agents about Carnival’s offerings, aiming to fortify long-term partnerships and provide them with robust tools to succeed.

    Details of the Visit Schedule

The scheduled events are strategically located across major UK ports to maximise participation. The tours will commence in Dover on June 28, followed by Liverpool on multiple dates (July 9, August 5, and August 14), Edinburgh on July 30, Greenock/Glasgow on August 7, and concluding in Belfast on August 17. By visiting well-distributed venues, Carnival aims to accommodate the varied geographical locations of its travel agent partners.

    Educational and Enjoyable Engagement

The initiative coincides with the celebration of Global Travel Advisor Day, reflecting its dual purpose of education and celebration. Besides the informative ship tours, the experience is designed to be enjoyable, creating a positive and memorable impression of Carnival’s hospitality and service excellence. These interactions aim to deepen the agents’ understanding and appreciation of the Carnival brand.

Engagement sessions will provide valuable insights into the operational aspects of the ship, allowing agents to experience the service quality and offerings firsthand.

    Carnival Legend’s Summer Voyages

In conjunction with the ship visit programme, the Carnival Legend will embark on a series of nine-day sails around Britain and the Western Mediterranean. This sailing schedule provides a timely backdrop for the visits, as agents can observe and experience the ship in full operational mode.

These voyages offer an additional layer of context for agents, enhancing the practical knowledge gained during the visit and allowing them to relay this experience to potential customers effectively.

By showcasing its operational capabilities and range of itineraries, Carnival aims to illustrate the diverse opportunities available to its travel partners.

    Commitment to Partnership

This initiative is a testament to Carnival Cruise Line’s commitment to deepening its partnership with travel agents. By offering a platform for direct engagement and experience, Carnival reaffirms its support and appreciation for their role in the cruise sector’s dynamics.

The programme’s comprehensive approach signifies Carnival’s aim to sustain a nurturing environment for their partners, ensuring mutual growth and success.
